There are a couple of guys at each of those positions that have the potential to be NFL caliber players. Hakeem and Montgomery both didn't have break out seasons until their second years. We have two top 20 RB's coming onto the roster, and WR's with a huge upside. Also Purdy made numerous amounts of plays on his own and threw the ball a lot to guys not named Hakeem Butler and David Montgomery.

So what you are telling me is, ISU players can have break out years after a subpar first year and that they have guys that have potential to be NFL players on their roster at RB and WR.....

In this case the answer is pretty clear. If you weren’t an imbecile, an extremely insecure imbecile, you would be able to see it yourself.

idk tbh. He was our WR4 last year as a rs-FR, and coaches couldn't take him off the field towards the end of the year because of his hands and quickness. He fits the mold of todays top NFL WRs and I'd bet good money he is in the league when his time at ISU is done.

So let me get this straight, he was the 4 WR (so was Martin at UM) and he has the potential to be an NFL player because of his makeup and because the coaches like his potential? But Martin can not do that, or should I say no one on Iowa can be like that?

When did I say that Martin couldn't do that? You stated ISU doesn't have any NFL RB or WR on their current roster, I responded with a potential bet that Tarique Milton would be.

We don't have any scholarships available for Martin. Maybe Campbell offered him a walk-on spot this year if he was interested but that would be his only option. Now go scurry back under your rock.

You realize ISU had better WR than Michigan last year and Martin still couldn't produce right?

I am talking about this year. And it was determined that Monty and Butler struggled some their first year to produce before breakout seasons to get to the NFL, so I am confused at the fanbase angle here against the potential of Martin playing at Iowa and being a decent player?

Probably not this year is what I was getting at because it was stated Iowa would not have any first round TEs to make Stanley mediocre, sorry I should have been more clear, because any player can develop into an NFL player at any school. So, I was pointing out that Iowa did lose NFL players, but so did ISU, and probably more significant players for ISU IMO.

Well Michigan's WRs have sucked since Martin has been there and he still couldn't produce in two years so I'm not sure why you're expecting him to be good. Throw in the fact nobody else wanted him when he entered the portal...
