Easley was your best WR last year by far. Not best receiving threat, the best Wide Receiver you had last year. By far. Not sure how you could possibly say that's not fair

I do not think his production will be hard to replace with what we have returning from our redshirts and Martin coming in. that is just how I see it.

OK but you said me calling Easley the best Wide Receiver you had last year was unfair and I'm asking you why is that unfair

I am curious to see how he does without Monty. He was such a good RB, best RB from either Iowa or ISU since Greene IMO.

With improved o-line play we shouldn't need a Montgomery type. We have tons of talent at RB but yeah there will certainly be a drop off if the run blocking isn't better.

Your pass catchers this year will be significantly worse than your pass catchers last year. You at least agree with that right?
Not up to what last year was, yes I can agree to that, but not significantly worse. I think ISM and Smith improve as they have in both of their years playing already, and I think Martin is an X factor if he plays. I also think Nico and Tracy are going to be very effective.

ISM not doing well in Spring has me a bit worried though.

If we know one thing it's that WRs develop so well under KF. Lol

Because he was not by far the best WR, he was the possession/ secuirity blanket for sure. I think Smith and ISM were just as talented, but our QB did not look their way often as he had Easley in his sights most of the time outside of Hock and Fant.

well, they are developing under Copeland right now. And it remains to be seen if that will be good or not. So far, Smith and ISM have improved stats from their first year to the next. As did Easley.

Greene was good but wasn't the talent Montgomery was. David was able to do what he did with some pretty bad and inexperienced O-Lines, Greene's lines were very talented. And last year David was definitely great but Purdy was also great without him. The first game Purdy got thrown to the wolves against Oklahoma State, David was injured and Purdy was phenomenal. He also didn't play in half of the Baylor game or half of the Texas game and Purdy held his own. The Texas game missing David definitely hurt but we were still only down 10 I believe at half. Our line will be immensely better, which will help the new running backs and also take pressure off Purdy to have to make every play on his own.

Those RBs need to be able to pass block too. Monty was really good at that.

Wait you are saying Iowa had two WRs as good as Easley last year? Lol what?!!

I doubt that Martin gets granted a waiver to play right away unless there was a problem somewhere else. If it was simply PT he'll most likely have to sit out just like everyone else does.

I agree about Monty, I said since Greene because he was the last NFL runningback I think from both schools. I think he can have a better pro career than Greene.

I'd imagine he will, but who knows. I've seen Montgomery on many lists for the best rookie RB and even the best rookie fantasy player.

In terms of production no, but in terms of talent yes, I do think they can be what he was, if not more this year.

Not sure how you view talent if you ignore production.

You think either of those guys could put up 50 catches, 500 yards and 5 TDs this season? I don't

Smith put up 28 catches, 361 yards, and 2 TDs as the 4th or 5th option
ISM put up 23 catches, 361 yards, and 3 TDs as the 4th or 5th option

so I do not see how they do not have that potential with the top 3 guys being gone.
