It's great that there are 15 ISU players on his all Big XII team, but isn't the big takeaway that he has ISU as his #4 surprise team and two of his power ratings have ISU going 11-1. I mean... holy ****!

Yeah but I read they ranked our OL #35 in the country so...
I think that the OL is getting some love (Lindy's has them in the top 10 in the country) just because they are returning all five starters. Anyone who actually watched them last year would not rate them very high. Although, they did start playing well at the end of the season. They dominated the bowl game minus those false starts. IMO they need to take a sizeable step forward to be in the top half of the conference. And our season success depends on them doing that.

I don't think it needs to be a "sizable step" at all. Just start the season close to where they ended last season - not a big ask with five returning starters running the same scheme/assignments as last year - and we'll be a much better team. I don't think we got physically beat last year be anyone but our focus and execution were bad at points. That stuff should be much more settled. I don't expect individuals to be miles better than they were last year but it will be a much more cohesive unit, greater than the sum of its parts.
I don't know how much to take from dominating the bowl game. The Pac XII's problem has been size. They were all built on speed and are just small even when watching on TV.
So, if this doesn't go down within the next 4 hours do I need to seek medical attention?
Lost in all of this is that appears we have a viable, certified talent at QB for the first time since Seneca Wallace. That is what is growing the eggplant for me. And don’t come at me with Bret Meyer/Austin arnaud bros. They weren’t anything special.
Returning every starter on the OL is going to be big for this group. You also have some big-bodied, talented RS freshmen right behind them. If these guys perform as well as they're capable, it could be a very special season.
Phil Steele is really big on # of returning starters and experience as predictors of success.. He’s not perfect but his formula is probably as good as any..

Meyer wasn't terrible. I will agree though that he wasn't a 'special' player.
Absolutely, Meyer and Arnaud had padded stats but were never really that good. Purdy is a really good talent and for him to perform as he did as a true freshman was great. I was made fun of in the first round pick thread when I said.....hes got a legit shot by his Junior/Senior year to be considered in the first round. Its not hard to see it
