There's been guys with less tools than he has that have done it actually....its not the expectation by any means but he's got a shot IMO
Bret Meyer might not have been 'special' but he got the max out of his potential and deserves respect for the 9,500 career yards he put up and for being the career leader by almost 3,000 yards.
Am I the only one terrified of this season? This seems like the ultimate ISU nut punch scenario.

I know I should be and don't kid yourself, I will have the Jewel Safe out and ready to go this fall. What makes it different is how this program handled what was a pretty shaky start last fall. We might not reach expectations but we won't collapse.
Maybe just ignore this one and read Jay Jordan’s piece where he had us 3rd-7th in the B12?
Whose being negative? Just just because I'm not booking Tickets for the NCG I'm being negative? Most rational fans would agree that the OL last year was not good and suddenly the same magazine who regularly put us in the cellar has is at 11-1 they are the gospel? What about the times they had us 8th and we surprised and went to a bowl game. They weren't credible then but now they are the truth.
The last 3 times before this last fall that ISU went to a bowl game they finished in a group tied for the 4th through 7th places, 8th place and 9th place so those two results aren't mutually exclusive.
We've certainly been trained to expect that as fans. Its going to take a long time to undo decades of disappointment following expectations. Campbell is certainly doing everything he can to undo that.
11 wins would be insane. ****, i'd be thrilled with 9 wins.
