It's funny Providence offered that kid and Iowa took the commitments from the Murray twins at the same time. It's almost like they were informed by his dad where Xavier stands...

I can't speak to the Hawkeye legacy, but my sister graduated from Osky last year and has told me he was a Hawkeye fan when they were younger. Not that that means anything because XF has higher aspirations than being yelled at by a psycho.

I grew up a Hawkeye fan until high school, when I was able to objectively see how awful of people their fan base is filled with. Coming to the good guys was one of the best life choices I made in high school.

I understand keeping Iowa on the list during the recruiting process as its a way to block some of the headaches that would come from eliminating them early, but damn, after stringing it a long for this much time it's going to be rough when the Iowa fans get the news.

I think it is the long-time Iowa State fan in me that still feels XF goes to Iowa! It just works that way right? Hope not...really want to see him develop into a big-time player in Ames!
