That’s fair. But that’s non-football related too. But to me, it’s not like Orlando, Phoenix, and Houston are must-see destinations either.

If you like golf, hiking, good breweries/restaurants/bars, mountain biking, atvs/side by sides, skiing(within a 2 hour drive), shooting, anything on public lands, and a ton of awesome nature then AZ is a must see destination. There is so much more to Arizona than what most people know or realize. Everyone assumes it all desert and the same, which is so far from the truth. There is a reason why it is one of the fastest growing cities in the country.

Kentucky QB has put up like 1,100 rushing yards in like 7 games he's started.

Very few passing yards though.
He has been awesome. Kentucky lost their starter and backup, and converted him from WR and said: "We are going to run and win!" I respect that very much, and I personally think a player being able to do that deserves individual recognition.

I'd love to see an ISU vs. Kentucky Liberty Bowl, and Big Blue Nation travels for football too. It would be a sold out, exciting crowd. They can drink too, but they prefer their bourbon!

One of the positives about Memphis last time was staying at the Peabody. But since it is NYE this year for game day, just called and Peabody is already sold out.

I keep seeing that okie state wouldn’t go to liberty two years in a row and it makes sense but do they really have a choice? I don’t think the Texas Bowl is making their pick thinking about who the Liberty will take.

I assume OSU can decline an invite, then give up its spot .... doesn't guarantee the next bowl in line would pick them unless that's all that remains. At least I assume that's how it works.

Peabody is the SEC team hotel this year - Sheraton Downtown is the Big 12 team hotel - per the Liberty Bowl Website.

It can make all the sense in the world, but its never going to happen.
You have a better chance at getting the retro cyclone logo back on the helmet then going back to 8 confrence games.
I like the 9 game schedule but it's not the same playing field for the SEC. They only play 8 teams and their not penalized for doing it. If the BIG 12 did that we wouldn't have a snowballs chance in hell of making the CFP.

So, both of the ESPN guys have ISU in the Liberty. One vs. Cincinnati and one vs. SMU. I would prefer an SEC team, but both of those opponents are interesting, good and would not be playing on their home field. The only way ISU will play Memphis is if the Tigers lose the AAC Championship and fall from the Cotton G5 spot.

@jereseib You can dislike my post but it does not mean I am wrong. @cfbmatrix and @cfb_professor on twitter are good follows on how the committee works. They nail it every year. Feel free to give them a follow and hopefully you'll come around on 8 conference games. (8 conference games assumes you want the Big 12 to have the best chance of making the playoff)

Perhaps the Big 12 needs 9 conference games to provide the TV inventory necessary to bring in the desired amount of revenue.

Liberty Bowl in Memphis against a beatable Tennessee would be fun IMO. The Vols hava a great fan base. Don't really care about destination as I will be watching their bowl game by a fire in front of my television. :)
