I keep seeing people claim that ISU fans opinions of Prohm are varied.... uhh who are these people? All the many ISU fans I know have completely checked out at this point and are apathetic about the program. Everyone thinks we need to make a change. People who think Prohm is the right man are the extreme minority and frankly must be making their assessment based on an emotional connection to him personally.

I checked out long ago. Thankfully there's only one more game for this season.

There's some that never gave him a chance from the get-go, some that thought he at least did pretty well his first two years, and acknowledge that he's had some great accomplishments. And I think there's some that still think he's doing a good job (?).

The end of the 16-17 season was some of the better overall basketball I'd seen at ISU probably since 2001, although there were still some things to question.

17-18 was a wash that everyone saw coming, but they at least had some high points and I was excited because Wiggs/Lard turned into quite a combo at times.

18-19 was successful historically but also some weirdness.

I started to lean more last year but currently I'm in 'give it next year' just because I can't see JP letting him go. I would not be too upset if CSP leaves for somewhere else though. Turning it around after losing 20 games is a lot to ask.

His best coaching was in his second year, though even in that year he struggled for awhile to figure out the best lineup and style of play for the roster. That was the only season where I think he did a better than average job of coaching up his roster.

I think the argument that “people never gave him a chance from day one” is a myth . Regardless of that we are far past that point now. We have 3 years to assess his effectiveness with his own players. It hasn’t been pretty and sadly I think last year is the peak of what he can achieve. And that was a talented roster that underachieved overall.

I think that's a very small portion but I know that jereisb dude seemed pretty proud of not liking CSP from the start.

people that are upset with this loss are stupid.
That being true is what’s upsetting!

All things considered, I’m not surprised or upset we just got smoked against the last place team in the conference and had to play a walkon. Upsetting times!

I have stated before I am in the camp of giving Prohm another season, and believe that Jamie thinks the same way.

If we are in the same boat next year, we can him, but at least give him to opportunity to dig himself out of this hole.

Well he will get next year so that is not some bold statement.

Not 247's opinion, but this guy's opinion.

And that is one opinion more then you guys have demonstrated after claiming the national perception is "much different" then fans here. And who really cares what their perception is anyway especially nationally. Are they just the "he seems like a nice guy" type? Have they watched any ISU games this year (including the second half of last season)? Have they looked at the numbers? Can they point out what Prohm does well? Seems like you're and Cat's best defense and only defense of him are ad hominem attacks on those criticizing him. Kudos to everyone who is making his seat hot and making him earn his money. I hope he can turn it around but I've seen nothing to make me think he is anything more then a pretty good mid major coach. Much like McDermott and seemingly Shaka Smart.
