You going to answer the question?
Thought I did in the previous post. But even thought the guys that played are returning and the guys that didn't aren't you won't be satisfied with anything short of burning an effigy.

It's more of a "Why did we have 5 players who weren't good enough to play in the Big 12 in the first place" Kind of deal. Especially when 3 of them were just recruited last season.I dont understand the prohm haters, they say we need more talent and that's his fault, but when 3 players that were bottom of the rotation transfer they lose their minds. Do you want to get better? Or be loyal to marginal players, cant have it both ways
....
Don't like losing Grill - from what i understand he grew up an ISU fan, he was going to be a solid player in a year or two. And he wants out. ......
I just don't see ISU getting back there with SP
Grill in and of himself isn't a huge difference maker. The difference is if you think Steve will add someone better than him as an immediate player this spring. I don't think he will.
IMO replacing Grill's role might be the least important recruiting need. Based on freshman year, I see Jackson's game similar to Donovan Jackson. A 6'1" CG. So I feel Bolton & Jackson will fight for minutes at the SG position. If Dubar or Blackwell can get in the mix at SG great.
Our biggest needs are PG and athletic 4. We need a Ejim/Hogue/Gilstrap type guy who can score inside or out and avg. 6-8 rpg.
IMO Blackwell is the Ejim/Hogue guy.
Who was the last juco or immediately eligible transfer that impacted this program? We’ve had way more freshman impact the team under Prohm.

IMO one of Prohm's mistakes was relying on grad transfers instead of JUCO's. IMO there is far more talent available and signing a guy is based on strong relationships developed over time. Then you have a guy for 2 years.
Grad Transfers are a crap shoot, you have them for 1 year and then have to bring in another new kid.
Steve Prohm is not by any measure an elite coach at this point in his career. But not caring about kids is not one of his shortcomings.
he’s the coach of my school. And that’s why I’ll root for him to succeed
JUCO market isn't near what it used to be
No, Hawks are front runners. Enough issues we don't need with everything else.Any chance we land Carton?
I don't think they are anywhere close to being front runners. Iowa State is pretty close to the front I would guess. No, Hawks are front runners. Enough issues we don't need with everything else.
Lol. Scott drew walked into being coach at Baylor with the top players leaving the program, scholarship and recruiting sanctions/reductions, no post season play allowed. 7 years of probabtion.I sort of hope he turns into the Scott Drew of ISU rough beginning then a long pretty successful career.
Except everyone in the know has been saying he doesn't like Frans kidsNo, Hawks are front runners. Enough issues we don't need with everything else.
Because of quarantine and schools all being shutdown players can't take school visits, and coaches really aren't allowed to go on the road. So it's a crappy time to enter the portal.
