With no tailgating and forced mask wearing I probably won't get to any game even if they allow fans.

Weren't there supposed to be some games starting this week? Yeah there were a couple scheduled for Sat the 29th. ESPN still shows two games starting on Thurs Sep 3...

switch off your executive function – your conscience.
Yep, this is true if the only reason you accept personal responsibility is peer pressure or avoiding the consequences of your actions by legitimate authority (parents, bosses etc.); thus by going incognito you don't have to act like a responsible adult. Usually reserved for childish behavior. Wearing masks to eliminate or diminish a heath crisis is exactly the opposite behavior showing respect for your fellow citizens through your own personal responsibility, engrained by your life experiences.

There is a Huge difference between showing off your superior virtue signaling and using your own thinking.

Here try this article. Lots more reasons to not wear a mask. Though, granted it's more psychological than physiological.

They make you suggestible; they make you more likely to follow someone else’s direction and do things you wouldn’t otherwise do. In short, they switch off your executive function – your conscience.

How do you people decide which "experts" are smart enough to listen to?

The author of that article:
"Patrick Fagan is a behavioural scientist author, lecturer and practitioner; previously Lead Psychologist at Cambridge Analytica" so you know @ArgentCy is getting the most pure, unbiased information available to free thinkers like himself.

Below is a sampling of some other great masterworks from The Silver Bear Cafe. I'd click on the JFK Alien Presence one but my phone doesn't support Netscape Navigator.

Do not forget, that alien DNA may save us from Covid. That’s what the anti mask doctor quoted by the president said.

I want to join some of those causes just to see what that's like.

That False Flag Alien invasion sounds great.

Ames is #1! And considered a metro area worth tracking. Cool, you all beat out Iowa City but doesn't speak well to the prospects of fans in the stands.

ArgentCy is the guy screaming at Black people to “just do what the cops tell you to do and they won’t kill you” while refusing to wear masks when health experts and other governmental leaders are telling people to...

So much for the plan of trusting Iowans to do the right thing. Hope is never a good plan.
I really expect ISU to go with a 25% capacity plan, but logic clearly dictates it should be zero.
Anybody that is surprised has been following the wrong data sources and experts. We need all classes at all grade levels to go 100% virtual ASAP.

Not exactly sure.

Hope is what politicians sell though. When you let them get involved, that is what you get.

What politicians owe us in a crisis like this is pretty simple, imo:
1) Tell the truth
2) Tell us what we need to do, and must do
3) Tell us what they are doing to make things get better - plans and actions
4) Promise factual updates as we progress through this, and alter plans as data presents itself.
Cannot speak to all jurisdictions, but have clearly not seen this at the state of Iowa or national level.
Hope can be sold if there is a logical science based plan behind it. It may not be immediate, but there can be reason for optimism. After 7 months all we have is continued chaos, although there has been progress in learning how to treat this disease. There are small pockets of relative success.

Number one stops all politicians. Best you can ask for is what they plan to do (following through is another thing).
