I blacked out the entire rhodes era in fairness. Which was tough to do because I got a whole college experience worth of it.
I don’t understand why defensive back Sam Richardson was throwing a pass with either hand.
When you're the only sam richardson on a roster apparently you have to do what you gotta do.
Our son, who was a student at that game reminded us of that. A wiped memory was reinstalled.
Yuck.
Actually he’s a great player smart, fast, and strong they just haven’t given him very many opportunities, it’s like expecting a guy who’s never had an at bat to be hitting homeruns right away.
Because he’s a great player that’s been stuck in the special teams roll for a couple years too long.
I love the kid, I really do, but if Akers is getting extended PT at receiver, we’re in big time trouble. He’s a niche player that’s really good for one specific type of play.
If that specific play is the one where he catches the ball and can do a little more after the catch I'll take it.
The play is generally a little flare out where he gets lost in traffic and turns a 3 yard pass into a foot race.
Again, the kid is really good at it, but you’re not going to take more snaps from better receivers for him unless you’re specifically planning on calling his number.
As upset as some of us were about the ISU defense, imagine how pissed Patterson must be about giving up 3 huge running plays like that. Looked like their LBers got lost on Hall's first big run.
Akers is a good run after catch guy, but he hasn’t caught the ball with consistency in his career. He’s probably not going to go up and win jump balls as well as other WRs on the team.
I like how they are using Akers. Would like to see him get a couple more quick passes in the flats.
It was nice to see Akers get an opportunity but there is zero chance he’s faster than Milton on a go-route, zero. He was easily caught by the TCU DB as well. I like him as an option for quick slants or outs.
It doesn't have to stand for complete idiot though. Fanatic doesn't mean being constantly unreasonably negative and down on the team.
