My high school had a milk can rivalry with a neighboring school. It was legit.

How about a stalk of corn and a thing of wheat carved into the wood, with a football on top.

Or, a large bronze corn cob. The winner gets to put their logo as a kernel fill in every year.

Or, an actual old fashioned tractor that is half ISU, half KSU.

I doubt Iowa State is going to agree to have a trophy with a company on it that benefits the state of Kansas. We've got a litany of agricultural sponsors for Iowa State. If EGE wants to cut a check to our athletic program, we may consider.

How about we leave trophies to winning championships?

I’ve always found these type of one game trophies to be equivalent to the participation trophies I got in middle school wrestling and basketball. Almost as bad as the fake rivalries like Iowa vs Nebraska.

You know, I was thinking collegiate athletics needs more things with corporate sponsorships plastered all over them. Maybe have Sukup on the other half of the bin and there's space on the front of the trophy if you take off the team names. I mean who really cares who's playing? I'd rather know who is responsible for sponsoring the game.

Other than that the trophy is perfect. Is perfect the right word?
Good enough.
