Douche tweet, but there's nothing even remotely controversial there. It has nothing to do with the Big 12 as no 2-loss teams have made the CFP to date*. If Iowa had a chance at a B1G Championship this year, they wouldn't realistically be in the conversation either. Also, it's not like Cyclone fans are up in arms that we're not being discussed as a possibility to get selected.

Also, Bama would absolutely handle 60+ Power 5 teams 99/100 times, Iowa included.

*Just waiting for a scenario where a 2-loss Clemson, Bama or Ohio St wins their conference.

That tweet doesn't even upset me. It's another validation of how good the Cyclones are this year! I thought his tweet was amazingly comedic & made me laugh out loud. However, there is the outside possibility that this guy is sooo deranged, he deserves our pity.

My email today.

Good afternoon,

I would just like to let you know about my displeasure with your journalist and his pathetic bias. Beau Bowman is clearly entitled to his opinion but you are supposedly a reputable news organization. To completely write an entire conference off in football simply because Beau has a hawk bias is laughable. I will not be watching your channel and I will be encouraging others to boycott your product as well. All us Cyclones want is some dignity for crying out loud.

Get bent, sincerely,

All Cyclones.

Mine went something like this, but then I lost interest and failed to send:

"Good afternoon,

I have heard that you run a TV station or free lifestyle magazine of some sort in the Des Moines area. I am not going to research it, but I'll just take everyone's word for it that it's something like that. I also heard some guy at your company (or non-profit) said some stuff that was disparaging to ISU. I am afraid that the next Rory Walling might be walking the streets of Des Moines and see one of your coupon flyers or whatever it is you distribute on the corner, see these disparaging remarks and decide to go to Grandview instead of walking on at ISU. This would be a travesty and an outrage. I will not stand for this. I demand a public apology and additional $5 off coupons for an oil change at LOF Express. Just so you know I'm serious, I could by and sell this young Chap no problem, as I assume his price is $80, a $10 Casey's fuel card and two free tickets to the open Iowa practice at Valley Stadium.

Have you know journalistic and/or free lifestyle magazine and coupon distributor integrity?"

Good day to you sir!

Some of you guys get butthurt about the weirdest ****. This is nothing.

You guys are telling people to email his employer like he made a racist or homophobic jerk. Simmer down sallies

I could care less if this was about Iowa state or something else. A professional account really shouldn’t have any personal opinions on there. For any topic. It’s called professionalism. Have a second personal account. Really not that hard.

What a douchey first name that mimics the first part of his last name. Wonder if his parent’s were brother and sister? Only seems fitting.

The guy looks half asleep on his news reports all the time.

Seriously...did you ever meet a Beau that wasn't a complete TWAT???

Beau and I DO have one thing in common, though. We'd both like to see ISU in the Championship Game (or playoff).

Was it smart? No. Absolutely not. But the overreaction screams little brother.
He has in his bio that opinions are his own and links and RT’s aren’t endorsements.

I don’t care what he says, but I can say he looks like the type of guy that has breath that smells like swiss cheese constantly.

It’s not that bad of a tweet. I agree. But it is unprofessional to me. Working in comms and social media there are guidelines almost every company has about posting anything from a business account or one associated with the company you work for. This would not fly with many companies regardless how harmless it is. Some it isn’t a big deal. I personally think having two accounts in a position like he’s in is a no brainer. This comes from an account that has no mention of KCCI and no one even notices it because no one knows him and no one follows him. Just my two cents.
