Obviously, it's possible to be a fair journalist to a University even with one's sports fandom but I really think we should expect more from our journalists that help hold the Board of Regents and University officials accountable.

Next thing you know people will be wanting to boycott the D.M. register because their articles aren't as pro-ISU as Cyclone Fanatic. Oh wait..... Only consume news that reinforces your own biases!
The DMR headlines when I was at ISU and we had snapped the football streak and started an ISU winning streak could only be described as a fantasy alternate reality. My favorite was some year right before ISU stomped them the Rag had this ten reasons Iowa is going to beat ISU editorial that read like it was from the fever dream of a six year old. Great crow eating.
What does this guy's wet dream about Alabama curb stomping ISU have to do with news?
Or maybe just because they are a poorly written and edited newspaper that can’t find carriers in rural areas and mails the early edition in which the “news” is two days old.
I like the part of the dream where apparently Iowa would get into the playoff with 2 losses and hang with 11-0 Alabama.
That's the kind of journalistic brilliance I'll watch local TV news for after not seeing a local TV news broadcast for over 20 years.

Where have you been? There is a reason he seems impartial, he called ISU CyClowns on the air a few years back and Murphy stuck up for him and made him apologize. I stopped watching W.H.O. (World Hawkeye Organization) that day and have never went back. If an ISU journalist did the same thing they would have fired them the next day.
What part of that idiotic tweet was news?
Don't believe a word of this. The first tweet was his true feelings about ISU.... now he's just trying to save face, and possibly his job. What an idiot.
With his boss telling us an apology was coming, I think saving his job is the more likely of the two.
