Texas plays up in your face D which is OK, IF they allows us to do the same. Nuts the stuff they are letting them get away with and calling on us. However, Texas is making the game play to their favor. Tough aggressive D and go after every rebound and make the officials call over the back, etc. Its working for them. We need to learn to be more physical to match some of these teams.

Texas didn't give us an open look from three for 17 minutes and than gave us three wide open looks in a row which we drained. Think they are tired. Or got complacent. Wise's wasn't as open but she took it immediately since she was set. That 12 quick points was a game changer.

the craziness on the Texas bench may have cause the butterfingers turnover right in front of the bench. They were being extra obnoxious even by Texas standards at that moment.

Feels like we struggle with teams like this that are physically superior. Hopefully another year or two of training will take care of that.

I don't think ISU has ever out physicalled a team. Outplayed them, out scored them, out hustled them, but never out physicalled them. That has always been our downfall. We play a prettier, more sophisticated game, but that does not work against a team like this. You have to get mean and start punching back sometime. The officials are catching a few of the over-agressive D moves by Texas, but let a few go too.
