I'm certainly not arguing he was expected to be anything like those two guys, don't think anyone really is. But he absolutely could have (should have!) been a McKay type, and would have had more time in the system to learn some other skills - rebound better, maybe a 3pt shot, idk.
Instead we've asked him to do everything he is bad at, and scold him for doing what he is naturally good at. THAT seems to be what CSP specializes in wrt player development.
