I don’t think you will have to worry too much about them, so at least there’s that.

Ok. We are what, 2-14? I think we have plenty to worry about already. It’s clear at this point that our problems go beyond any one player or player, and there are fundamental issues with our program that need addresses.

Do you disagree?

I was responding to your concern. I don’t think there will be many left when everything plays out.

but as I said before, it doesn’t really matter, truthfully losing all these guys will give the new coach (ok tj) the chance to start recruiting for whatever style he wants right away

Agreed, once a program reaches this point, its best for all to move on. Coaches, players, fans, athletic department. I think most ISU fans will be excited for a change. Players too.

No, I responded to your post specifically because of what you posted. Clearly.

Well it must not have been clear enough because where in this post:

Hunter, Nunn.....a healthy Foster. That's some good talent. As for retaining them if Prohm is let go this year.....better hope they love ISU.

However, Steve is class act and I am sure if he knew his time was up this year, he would do his best with the players and their families to keep their commitments even though he is under no obligation to do so.

....is there a mention of using the threat of players transferring to:

base a coaching decision on keeping them, or even factor it at all into the decision.

....based upon this thread I responded to:

He looks like he could be an answer to our prayers. Let's just hope we can retain his commitment

No one is saying or even alluding to that. Because if Prohm is gone then the most likely scenario for what Cyinthenorth is hoping..................is for them to WANT to play for ISU, no? Regardless of who the coach is.

Who are our confirmed incoming recruits for next year again? Hunter, Nunn, and?

Would it be unreasonable to think that these gentlemen/recruits might want to stay with Iowa State, even if the coach was fired? I am assuming they would talk with the out-going coach first, then the AD. If they then knew who the incoming Coach was going to be, and the new coach still wanted them...?

Or would it be more advantageous to get a slot with a new program as soon as possible?

Hunter and Nunn will probably be the only commits and I would expect the rest will be transfers. We only have one spot as of now, but we will see some players transfer this off-season.

Assuming Young and JCL don't want to come back for sixth years what are we looking at for a starting five?

Hunter
Bolton
Nunn or Walker
Hinson
Conditt or Foster

Btw Cycl0nepower, I like your Avatar! That's Bryce D-J right? Only one year here but a great player. So sad what happened to him in down in Dallas. He is missed.

Some transfers will likely happen, but I’d be very surprised if Conditt is here next year. This would probably be the roster if he doesn’t get fired.
