Anyone else hearing that JP has already decided Prohm is coming back?

That’s not how businesses work. Pollard runs the ISU AD business so guess who is responsible for funding that business? JP
But there is a big difference between McDonalds and Jack's Chicken Shack. Both restaurants, but big difference in revenue streams.

Schools like Texas, Ohio State, Oklahoma, etc. can buy success in many cases. Jamie Pollard doesn't have that luxury at ISU.

NO AD in the country is close to 100% in their coaching hires!! The ones that are close have a huge wad of cash to bankroll their decisions.

Were you even around Iowa State then in the Gene Smith and Van De Velde days. Granted Smith I don’t think had much $$ to work with but they did nothing to enhance facilities and build up programs. What Pollard has done so far is far from just ok to where we were .

Yea, I was around. Again, facilities under Pollard hasn’t been the problem.

That’s saying that we really have donors that pay for all the buyouts. Than yes you wouldn’t have to consider that. But just saying ok here you know a guy that saw a guy that once said they are willing to spend millions and millions of dollars to make this all happens I think we have to error on the side what the athletic department will have to come up with something and what deals they make will fall on there money and budget.
I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to say here, but it appears you're missing the point entirely

I think JP wanted TJ but Leath overruled him. You can blame the CSP hire on Leath.
I wish someone could somehow confirm that....I've heard on hear a lot...I know, unless JP told you directly no way to confirm and he'd never say it on the record but if NOT true certainly then makes going after TJ now a headscratcher

Fred Hoiberg.

Lol I don’t know the name but my guess is TJ if I had to make one

I absolutely get that Fred is polarizing, and get that it's a leap to think he'll be back in Ames, but...

Objectively, from a non Iowa St diehard fan, rank these coaches based on their accomplishments and how you feel they would do at Iowa St, assuming they are 100% committed to the long term:
Fred Hoiberg
TJ Otlzelberger
Darin Devries

My heart says Fred, then TJ, and then DD.
But my brain tells me TJ, then DD, and then Fred.

Skip the pedestrian walkway for another year and get a new coach, way more important.
That was funded privately. They likely wouldn’t be happy if you took their money that was meant for the walkway and put it towards a contract buyout.

Actually, Pollard himself has said that's a lie...just people with an "agenda" (Pollard's word) making things up.
