Carr has some pretty good guys to get through to the semis. The wrestler I think has the best draw is Gremmel. Really doesn't hit a guy he cant beat until the semis.

I dont like how the bracket really clustered Big12 guys. A whole lot of hits in the second round and also some in the first. 197 is the most egregious. The Big 12 is as deep as anyone there and we have Ferrari/Sloan and Buchanan/Adams as second round matchups. I would love to see Coleman win his opener and stick Warner though.
Ever notice how often this happens? Big12 and Big10 guys get clumped and ranked in runs because of their conference wins and losses. That’s the problem with rankings sometimes, of course their common opponents are in the same conference. Then you will see 3, 4, 5 guys from the same conference in a run on the rankings. It can be hard for guys to separate themselves in the rankings unless they get those big wins at Cliff Keen or Southern Scuffle.

Another withdrawal -- this time at HWT, which gives Gremmel a new first-round opponent.

OUT: #23 Robert Heald (ARMY)
Everyone moves up a spot, and the #33 line stays open -- no 32/33 pigtail match.

New first-round matchups:
#1 Steveson (MINN) vs #32 Ghadiali (CAMP)
#2 Parris (MICH) vs #31 Gunning (UNC)
#3 Stencel (CMU) vs #30 Doyle (BING)
#4 Schultz (ASU) vs #29 Harris (OKST)
#5 Cassioppi (IOWA) vs #28 Spaulding (EDIN)
#6 Gremmel (ISU) vs #27 Knighton-Ward (HOF)
#7 Laird (RID) vs #26 Schuyler (BUFF)
#8 Wood (LEH) vs #25 Traxler (STAN)
#9 Kerkvliet (PSU) vs #24 Birchmeier (NAVY)
#10 Wilson (NCST) vs #23 McAleavey (CIT)

Cass at 5 is a joke but that bracket is a 1 horse race anyways.

I have no idea what the formula is that they use for seedings but if you compare Cass/Stencel/Schultz season resumes, yeah.
What is Cass best win of year? Legit asking because I don’t know

Regardless of where Cass is seeded, he will very likely get third. Heavyweight has a clear favorite (Steveson), a clear runner up (Parris), and then a pretty clear 3rd (Cass). 4-8 will be a battle for Hwt

Bout numbers for Sessions 1A/1B:

1 - Terukina*
28 - Redding
50 - Parker
68 - Degen
78 - Carr
---------------
130 - Colbray
144 - Coleman
166 - Gremmel

*If Terukina wins his opener, there will be at least 30 minutes before his match with Lee -- so it's likely he'll go again somewhere among the 141/149-pound matches.

I could be wrong, and this may be my age talking, but I thought they required at least an hour between matches. ?

Is a pin a pin? What I mean is if Terukina gets a pin in the pigtail does that count as full pin team points? If so we get an opportunity for bonus here.
