Exactly!Appreciate it lol. I thought it’d make people on all sides of this hire laugh.

Lol, this isn't even remotely true. Yeah, I'm sure Beard is going to leave a Big 12 job for UNLV after he just been in the Elite 8 and then National Championship gsme.Without JPs input? Not likely.
TJ was UNLVs “oh ****” backfill when Beard bailed on them.
Every other open power conference job had failed to produce so much as a mention or rumor of interest.
I had NO IDEA he could smile. Is that a recent software update?
At least get your facts straight first if you are going to be a hater.
CW on staff hold-overs from Prohm staff to TJ's: Absolutely Micah Byers as basketball ops. Could see him keep Robinson too.
For what.......TJ has the job.
Has Robinson ever been here for a winning season?
this post delivers in so many wayskeep in mind folks iowa is going back to the crapper next year, the power vaccuum needs to be filled, tj is wild compared to prohm, there wont be any more licking your lips dear in headlights look, tj will be all over people like white on rice

Yes. Both he and Wieskamp got the upgrade at the same time.I had NO IDEA he could smile. Is that a recent software update?
What inaccurate facts have I presented? The guy is only about 3 years off in his post, no big deal. This is rich coming from you.
They are bad reasons because they have nothing to do with being a successful basketball coach. These are bad reasons why...?
Worked with Hoiberg.
He wanted to be here (in 2011, at least) and was cheap (to start).
Prohm got 6 to destroy it. TJ will get more than two to fix it.
If TJ is going to turn this around the team needs to show life by year 2. Which means they need to compete against teams in the upper half. Not necessary win but compete. Not lose by 25+ against Tech. If they are doing that then it shows to me the team has talent and they have an understanding of what the games plan is and executing it which also shows that TJ has the right staff to implement the turn around. If not and we get more of the clueless defense with aimless offense it shows me a lot of people were right and we hired another Prohm clone and we'll be looking another coach soon.from you or from JP? he will be coach of the year if this thing is turned around in 2 years

I have a feeling the tables will be turned now and I'm going to spend the next 5 years defending TJ while the Prohm fanboys will try to find every excuse in the book why TJ will fail. This is rich coming from you.

That's fair. I suppose I should say wanting to be here is more of a bare minimum and not something that necessarily leads to success on its own. Lord knows Paul Rhodes wanted to be here and while he helped jump start the program, I think we all want more than the equivalent for the basketball program. On the $$$ argument you have a point, but I don't see why wanting to be here so badly hurts.
Chizik clearly didn't want to be here, and the results suffered as a consequence.
I don't think enthusiasm for the job is proof of future success, but it hard to have the latter without the former.
