No one is saying you can’t hold the opinion that Jamie made this hire look worse than it is, but posting something sarcastic / hyperbolic every 10 seconds is just being childish and whiney. Lol

Might I be moving people to TJs side? Maybe that’s my motivation?!?

I’m certainly not the only one whining about this.

Haha that’s one hell of a spin zone but I respect it. And I know I’m also calling out other people who sound similar. ;)

TJ was my favorite choice, but I never said he was without flaws which was your point. TJ had flaws and so did every candidate. I would have been happy with any of the 5 I listed. DeVries we saw wasn't interested. Smith I kind of get the impression was at best interested, but not committal. I've been appeased that Pollard did some due diligence.

I had multiple people I'd be really happy with and only one I'd be unhappy with.
I can appreciate those points. I was reacting to your post, basically saying "shut up, TJ is the man" and offering no responses to legitimate questions/concerns. Got tired of hearing that from several folks.

He's been hired, so doesn't matter anyway now. Hope TJ does well. It's at least a breath of fresh air from the last several years of drudgery.

JP got Wendy involved in the Interview with TJ. After the Interview, Wendy says, “Hire TJ”. Sounds like the decision was overwhelming to Hire TJ.

Which may lead to the idea that it's going to be tricky for any coach to do all that well there for whatever reason.
Or that TJ, Dave Rice, and Menzies are unproven head coaches that may have not been ready to “do well” consistently even with the recruiting advantages. Kruger, the one proven coach, did well there, for example.

We'll find out.

I guess I'll revert to freaking out about it for the next 7 months.

I think TJ is the right coach at this time. He is 43 years old and basically will be able to build the Program he wants. TJ is being given an opportunity. And it is apparent TJ will be given some time. JP said this is not a quick fix. So let’s see what happens. I am hopeful he brings in good players who play hard and Bring the Magic Back.

Why freak out? Why not discuss and analyze things rather than play pretend?

I’m optimistic about TJ. This can and should be a quick fix if we made the right hire.

Jamie, though, needs to get his **** together. And should be out if TJ fails, but there’s a good chance of that happening either way imo

Sarcasm--people are overanalyzing something that hasn't even happened.

Have you ever thought that the reason other schools aren’t interested in him is because they believe his #1 goal is to be the coach for ISU?

And maybe the fans / school not wanting him there anymore has to do with the fact that they had a rough year and now are hearing TJ wants to leave so their mindset is “good riddance”?

I can almost guarantee you that if TJ would’ve said he’s 100% invested in UNLV there wouldn’t be this feeling towards him. Everyone knows he wants out.
No, I would never think that because that would be the equivalent of coaching suicide when your teams aren’t even .500. Nobody but ISU had any interest in him at this point unless it was a lower level school
