Fcc, I'm sure I'll get chastised as a non-Clone fan for this, but to answer your question GG looks pretty childish in the above referenced pictures with that smirk & fist is why it was a good point.

How big of a F-ing douche bag do you have to be to get on a college wrestling forum and talk **** anonymously about a student athlete who could murder you with his bare hands if he wanted to.

I seriously hope, for your sake, you are a kid acting like an idiot. Because otherwise you are one pathetic adult.

Whatever. I just don’t see that as relevant to a discussion about next year. Let alone a good point.

Honestly, I wished more people pointed out the stupid $hit I did when I was younger and I appreciate more and more the people that did as I get older. If you don't think how GG acts sometimes is a bit off you are a pie in the sky fan with blinders on.

Who cares how G-Grem smiles in pictures. I’d rather have a kid with his attitude/mindset compared to a guy like AJ Ferrari, who has to pose and yell that he deadlifts 665 every time there’s a microphone in his face.

DC, a 5th place finisher in arguable the most top heavy bracket in the tournament 1 to 3 + a healthy Kerk & you choose GG over a true freshman national champ? I get your point, but to get ISU back to the top Dresser is going to have to pick the Ferrari's over the GG's everyday of the week. Unfortunately if he picks the GG's he won't have a job past his 5 year contract.

I’m not talking about talent. If everything else is equal (attitude, training habits, etc.), of course I’m taking Ferrari over GG.

Not exactly sure.
you’re critiquing how a college kid smiles, i don’t think you have room to call anybody childish.
Yeah, complaining about someone smile is pretty dumb. My inlaws can’t smile, all look like they are in pain when they try to. Some people can’t smile like some can’t roll their tongues or pronounce certain words. If you complain about that, it just means you have an issue with the person and are trying to come up with dumb reason to explain why you do.

Wow! The blind support for any ISU athlete is both comical and truly inspiring all at once. I get both sides. He's young, he a member of the ISU "family", he gets unconditional support. On the flip side sometimes there's no recourse there. Anyway, far too deep. Again, if you guys haven't followed GG's career from high school to now you may have missed some of his antics. Similar to Steveson you love him, or hate him. In high school he was even more outlandish and anyone from Dubuque could tell you both sides. At ISU he's shaped up a bit and especially since the new staff has taken over. The smirk and fist are just general points on what impression the kid tries to make and also me not wanting to "bash", but give reasons. I know I'm fighting a losing battle here as he'll get blind support which is fine and understandable, but also comical because it has been easy to see since the kid first stepped on the mat as a high school varsity wrestler. Just ask Ethan Anderson.

Maybe it’s not blind support as much as a kid changing through life and fixing the mistakes he made. Do you want to be held accountable for the dumb things you did in HS now? I definitely don’t, I did some mighty dumb things, but feel I learned and changed. Nice to know you believe once someone makes a mistake at any age, that they can’t live it done or change.

BCC, please re-read my posts as several of the things you mention I make direct points to.

I am not Ethan Anderson, no.

I am an ISU grad.

I am an ISU Wrestling season ticket holder.

I am guessing I've attended more ISU Wrestling fund raisers and given more than several of the posters responding to me negatively.

Lastly and more importantly I'm a realist.

Anyway, I'm out. It's been real. It's been fun. .....but it hasn't been real fun.
