Start praying that Ben Jacobson is leaving UNI!!!

If he does, we can start dreaming about AJ Green and Austin Phyfe transferring to ISU

As long at Jacobson is at UNI, those two are staying. Regardless of if Kyle ends up being the hire

One can dream:

PG - Hunter
SG - Bolton
SF - AJ Green
PF - Austin Pfyfe/Hinson
C - Xavier Foster

Bench - JCL, Austin Pfyfe/HInson, Arthur Kaluma (UNLV commit, HIGH 4-star)

Good god... This board would explode... 1% chance, but one can dream

Austin Phyfe is not a Big 12 caliber player...

He went back to the mid-major level after McDermott left. Most of Campbell's staff are up and comers. Robinson has been around a while.

Campbell's staff also includes:
Tom Manning - Indianapolis Colts
Heacock: Purdue, Indiana

But if all of Campbell's staff stays at ISU and never gets promoted, it's probably a bad sign.
It’s called job security and loyalty! Plus he’s got money for raises for his guys from Pollard!

He’s timid and doesn’t look for his shot much but still scores 12.5 ppg and grabs over 7 rebounds a game.

6’10” 250 frame and he’s left handed. He’s far better than Conditt.

I can see Ben Jacobsen interviewing for Minnesota. He might have the last time. But is he actively trying to get out of Cedar Falls now beyond that?

He's not a star in the Big 12. But a 5-6 scoring option who rebounds is much needed.. Did you watch this team try and rebound this year???
Phyfe would get abused in conference play. It's not a personal knock on him, he's a nice MVC player and the kind that UNI have thrived with for years. That said, match him up against the type of bigs we see night in and night out he's going to struggle.

Jacobson probably missed his window to move up into a high major job. I'd imagine Marquette can do better.

I feel that too. And I would guess UNI wouldn't mind him moving on from a financial perspective. I am sure they love him and he seems to be an outstanding rep of the university but his contract runs for 5 more years and averages $900,000 a year. That is a lot of coin in this environment for a school in the MVC.

I have a tough time seeing AJ leaving unless Jake does. He's only going to play one more year and you'd figure he'd rather play for a team that is going to compete for a Valley title and a tournament berth rather than a full rebuild.

But we shall see...

Totally different players. Rim runner vs space heater. I don't think I'd mind seeing a space heater available on the bench, given how they rebounded the past few years.

EDIT: given how they "haven't" rebounded the past few years.
