I started cheering for UCLA when they beat Michigan State in the play-in round. One game kinda made a statement of Pac12 vs B1G. One conference very underrated, one conference very overrated.
I still think championship game tips off too late, especially for a Monday. Even doing 8:15 ET would make more sense.
It might seem like a sign of me getting (too) old, but I've felt this way for like 20 years, and even when my work schedule was more evening-oriented, I thought it was too late.
(I think Super Bowl kicks off too late, too. So maybe it's a "me" problem).

Never go to Eastern time. It takes a while to get used to in terms of sports start times.
Yeah, I don't get the 9:20 ET start either. You're going to lose the East coast casual viewer in the second half. Was this set from the start, or was it based on Gonzaga being in the game and trying to maximize the viewership from the West coast?

Granted, my memory isn't as reliable as it once was. Sometimes, I forget about that.
It's honestly one of the biggest things I hate about living on the East Coast. ET for sports sucks big time. May be a tad biased from growing up in Iowa during my school years where all I had to care about was watching sports and playing sports, but CT is perfect in my opinion for sports on TV. I would say the same for MT as well when I was out that way during a couple of weekends in the Fall for football games.
Another side note ... Pleasantly surprised only one team has had to bow out due to virus protocol.
Bummer for VCU team, of course, ideally all teams get to participate. If I had to guess pre-tournament, I would've expected a few more. (Not because I was cynical; seemed like something that might happen)

I would rank them:
1. Mountain Time
2. Central Time
3. Pacific Time (may be a bit early occasionally but when games are over have some of your day left at times.)
4. Eastern Time (most national night games always start too damn late)
I think some of our Pacific time dwelling posters have mentioned this, but Pacific time would be kinda sweet for CFB Saturday's.
First games start at 9 am. Don't have to stay up too late for the Pac 12 after dark games.
