My wife will brush her teeth after we eat supper. What are people's secret to not eating late at night?
Sometimes I'll chew some minty gum. I guess I just need to actually do it.My wife will brush her teeth after we eat supper.
Looks like your beard shaped up too! Good job with the weight loss.A little inspiration for everyone... The photo below is me in the same shirt. On the left, 9/1/2018 and about 350lbs. On the right, tonight after my workout and right on 250lbs.

I turned 40 just before Halloween and have been very overweight my entire life (and, let's be honest, I still am). But it can be done at any age. Just find something you can stick with, no matter how small it seems, and then stick with it. Be patient. Over the course of 3 to 12 months, the tiny changes you can't see from one day to the next will add up to a dramatic transformation.
There will be ups and downs. Pay attention to the day-to-day, but don't get hung up on it. Binging, skipping a workout, etc is like throwing an INT or giving up a homerun. Acknowledge it, figure out why it happened, and move on.
Weighed myself this morning at 196. Yay !!
Haven't gotten enough steps in the last few days as I have been so busy at work this week. Only 13.5k yesterday and so far today about 7800.
Need to take a good walk as soon as I log off.
We just had a 2 week challenge. I had like 270000 in 14 days.I just declined an offer to join our department walking challenge
Under 800 steps taken today!
When I started back on the Bowflex in January I started extremely light for the few sessions just to try and avoid hurting myself after a 10 year layoff. After the first few I increased it some more and now I increase the resistance every few weeks. I haven't skipped a workout since Jan 1.Covid weight gone. Watching diet and increased movement. Now I get to shed that 20-30 pounds I originally was going to last year. Starting with some light weights also. Last time I hit the weights hard I cramped up my upper body for a week and killed momentum.
Now using your good looks to chase off the young ones, huh? When I started back on the Bowflex in January I started extremely light for the few sessions just to try and avoid hurting myself after a 10 year layoff. Still sitting at about 196 and want to get down 5-10 more. Had two 27 year old women I know comment that I am looking really good.![]()
Lol I have some floppy parts that are basically like a nail in my psyche when they jiggle. Good thing though I can actually see my abs. I never even saw those when I was in swimming in high school.Weighed in this morning at 244, which puts me at -95 lbs since starting keto 13 months ago and -121 lbs from my heaviest.
This afternoon I was working on ripping out old carpet. We are replacing it with floating vinyl plank flooring. I had to pull a bunch of staples out of the floor that the previous owners had used to secure the carpet pad. As I pulled the staples with needle nosed pliers, occasionally my floppy titty would swing and audibly slap against my lower ribs. Kinda funny, kinda annoying, but a reminder of how my body has transformed.
ETA: I had been "stuck" at 250 lbs for about a month but stayed on track and the last couple weeks the weight started dropping agin. When you plateau, don't give up!
Saw this pop up on Twitter. Learning the difference between refined and complex carbs is another nuance to diet.
