Cornell will contend for a team trophy next season with returning hammers Darmstadt (197), Vito (125/133), and Yianni (141/149). Then, they have young guys that are speculative AA contenders like Yianni's little bro, Greg, Josh Saunders, Chris Foca, and Julian Ramirez.

Princeton will have Pat Glory.

I'm sure there are other big talents who will be coming back into the mix with the Ivy's but that's all I've got for now.

Will be interesting, I think Cornell is a distant 4th behind Iowa, PSU, Michigan assuming they land Real, Griffith, Brucki, Dean. Glory probably could swing top-3 but that's about it, anyone at 125 is fighting for 2nd anyway.

So you think Vito will win 125, too.

Marinelli and Kemerer were sure things this year too. Until they weren’t. Still hoping Fix wrestles 125 and then we can have some chaos.

They were? Kem was a heavy favorite but wouldn't have ever considered him a "sure thing" for a natty. Less so for Bull with Mekhi back. If you don't see a difference between those guys at their weights and Spencer at his, I guess we'll just disagree.

Lee v Fix would be fun to watch.

It's been a bit since they've battled each other.

Would be fun to watch, Fix still great but after seeing him at Natty's he looks like a different guy now that he's off the juice.

HA! Fair point.
At the very least we should get some Lee v Fix at some point in the next freestyle season. That's assuming they can both stay healthy...and eligible.

Agree. There'd be a lot of fun matches at that weight to watch.

If Spencer is healthy, he is untouchable at 125. Spencer with 1 ACL is also probably untouchable, Spencer with 0 ACLs might have a challenge against a Vito or Pat Glory, but still wouldn't pick against him..

it was a serious weight cut he hasn’t made in a while for Olympic trials. It would be interesting to see him disciplined and holding the weight for a season

He and Steveson would be virtual locks. Steveson probably done though. I was really hoping to see Lee at 57kg in the Olympics.

Good question here: if the ivy league would have participated this year, does the Hoks win the team title? Thoughts?

What ever happened to Tyler Buesgens? I see his little brothers name ever once in awhile in high school wrestling events. He looks like he’s a good little wrestler.
