If DeVonte Smith, Jaylen Waddle, Kwity Paye or Christian Barimore are available at 14. I want them on the Vikings!! You don't win Super Bowls drafting swing offensive lineman in Round 1.

Bama WR's are dudes. Can you imagine Jefferson Theilen and Smith as your top 3 WR's!!! That's a top 5 offense than can score with anyone if Dalvin stays healthy and the new OC doesn't over call running plays on early down and be predictable.

Paye and Barimore give you guys who can get after a QB. With Hunter and Michael Pierce coming back for 2021-2022. That d-line would really improve the defense.

Honestly, if the board fell like this and I was Minnesota. I'd try to trade back and get a late 1 plus a late 2nd or early 3rd round pick. This team needs multiple cheap rookie contracts if they keep paying Cousins
I have imagined this and would like it to be a dream come true. :eggplant:

Here's my prediction for Minnesota tomorrow night..

1) 1 of the top 3 tackles falls to 14 and we take them
2) A surprise like a top WR or Jones falls to 14 and we trade back to get a second item
3) Zim takes the best defensive player at corner, end or d tackle and Viking twitter is in full meltdown mode because we passed on drafting for the o-line to protect Cousins

I think given the Broncos acquiring Bridgewater tells me that the two top tackles will definitely be gone by 14. That's not a shocker, but there's a decent chance that Darrisaw and Vera Tucker are gone as well. I think among Cincinnati, Carolina, San Diego, Miami, and the NY Giants, you're going to see at least 3 OL come off the board before 14 and possibly 4. If Minnesota wants one of the top prospects, they're going to have to move up.

Tragic that they didn't just roll over and die after the 0-5 start to the season last year. Zim did save his job though.

I would love scenario 1 or 2, and am fully expecting 3 to happen. Either 3 happens or they take an OG.

Bridgewater can't be worse than what Denver has had. I want them to go defense with our 1st round pick.

If they can get one of the top 4 oline prospects I will be very happy. It's the most glaring need on the team. They have solid starters at 3 of the 4 Dline positions, and I think Wonnum showed plenty of promise last year. They're pretty well set at LB as well for this year, but I wouldn't be upset if they grabbed one of the top LB prospects. I'm not in favor of taking a CB though. Between Peterson and Alexander, they've added enough to be better. Not sure where a new CB though would even fit. Safety is a need, and if they end up trading back in the first round I could see that being the pick.
I don't think they'll take a QB because Zim and Spielman are in win now mode. RB is a non starter. I could get behind a WR pick, but it seems like a luxury pick considering their other needs

Totally agree on the WR not being a big need, but I feel like grabbing someone like Devonta Smith and utilizing his elite speed and route running in the slot would make this offense one of the best in football. Theilen and Jefferson on the outside, Smith lining up in the middle, up and comer TE in Irv Smith, the best RB in football Cook, suddenly the offense is a QB away from just absolutely shredding defenses on a weekly basis.

My friends got really upset with me not being a "good fan" and wishing they would just commit to tanking during the Houston win.. I almost had them convinced until they beat GB, DET and CHI in a row.

Just imagine how much better we'd feel picking at 12 if they lost to DET in week 17 (won by 2).. Now imagine not beating JAX in overtime (by 3), Carolina by 1.. If we lost those 3 games.. We'd have the #3 PICK!!!!!!!!!! That's a new offensive minded head coach, with Trey Lance or Justin Fields to build around for the next 15 years

Well when you put it like that...where's the crying emoji when you need it? Tragic

I think/hope Spielman trades up into the 2nd round and takes a safety, after tacking a tackle in round 1. I think he will trade down with a 3rd or 4th round pick and get a few more 5th and 6th round picks.

Maybe I have the wrong read on this, but I don’t think the Falcons have ever been sold on Fields or Lance, and taking a TE at #4 is an extremely risky proposition, even if it’s a generational talent. To me, I think the guy the Falcons always wanted at #4 was Jones, and in a year or two have him replace Matt Ryan. However, up until last week, by all appearances he was going to SF at #3, which is why the Falcons were projected to either take Pitts at #4 or trade back. But with SF’s interests this last week suddenly seemingly having shifted to Fields, suddenly Jones is back in play at #4.

So to me, if SF takes Fields, ATL takes Jones. If SF takes Jones, ATL takes Pitts or trades back if they get an offer they like.
