Pat Downey, Nate Carr Jr & Todd Small are the only recent ones I remember recruiting
Didn’t we look at a couple from NIACC that went to OU. Believe they were national champs also. Didn’t do much at OU.
NIACCs current national champ is a brother to one of their assistants who wrestled for NIACC and then UNI. He said he went to NIACC because his brother did. JUCOs have not had a big history of having success in D1 like other sports.
You also had the 125 I think named Patrick Hunter.
Also, pretty sure Jon Jones committed, but never showed up.
UNI stole him away. Cael was pissed to say the least. But I’m not sure he even attended there.
Wick to Cal Poly is a WTF for sure. Not a good move from a wrestling standpoint.
Jones committed to ISU in September, then signed with UNI in November, and never went either place.
Not sure I agree, but it’s not good from an ISU wrestling standpoint for sure.
Lots of good coaches out there, waiting to see if cal poly comes through with one
