The more pictures I see of the vertical concrete slabs, the more I dislike them. It sure seems like they could have came up with a design that doesn't look like so "medieval". The SEZ has the same concept but no gaps in the concrete slabs which looks much cleaner.
The SEZ has the same slabs but also has the flag poles mounted that fly the Big XII team flags. So I expect that the NEZ will do the same and you won't even notice the embrasure/ crenels / battlements.
Similar, but not quite the same... having said that, I'm fine with both although I do think it's odd they didn't use the same style. I'm sure there's a reason for that?

It’s to allow people walking on the concourse to see out. Notice that the slope of bottom of the openings matches the slope of the concourse. Also, some of the renderings show a continuous ribbon that connects the tops. This may not be the finished look.

New observation and question. Do we think the shiny white surfaces of the SPC will be wrapped with whatever the theme of the year is?

Could it be that the panels in the north end zone extend higher than the south end zone? From these pictures it looks like the panels in the south end zone are level with the railing and I think the panels in the north end zone go up higher than a railing would be.
Thanks correct, I would guess the design on the north is to allow fans on the walkway to see out and maybe light or airflow considerations as well.

They just did the bid opening for the pedestrian bridge, I think Henkel Construction out of Ames was low if I heard correctly. Well under the engineer's estimate too, so I assume this gets moving pretty quickly.
Let's get the construction cam installed first!

Hopefully not the same company that did the 35/30 flyover. I want this bridge lining up properly and not getting delayed an extra year.

Don’t be ridiculous. How else can the guards see to tell the when our opponents getting off the bus? Do you want the guys on the cowtapult launching blind?

Just saw this on Twitter. Another angle for those who haven't seen just how big the SPC is. It's ceiling is at the same level as the top row of JTS

Wait, wasn't that a huge ass fairway bunker before? Secondary cut >>>>> Any sand trap
