Man, Popeye's is incredibly underrated.
Maybe it's the restaurants themselves, but I've been to the Altoona and SE 14th locations, and the chicken wasn't very good.

For me Chick-Fil-A still has the best sandwich. I tried the BK chi-king this weekend it was good but it had terrible iceberg lettuce chunks from the center of the lettuce head, it ruined it for me... Chick-Fil-A uses leaf lettuce and has other things going for it too, a lot of people love their waffle fries, and sauce.I'm amazed at the number of people who think God's Chicken (CFA) is the best on that list. It's average, at best. Limited selection. Except for their salads it's just not good.
Kwik Star not being included in the poll options should be a crime
So the new BK sandwich. Is it anywhere as good as the media blitz claims?

I mean, when we're talking best chicken sandwich on there, the options are limited especially for most people's knowledge in here when a good number of them are regional chains not located in Iowa.
I'm partial to the spicy sandwiches. So that's going to skew my preference. You go down through the list and most of them either A) don't have a spicy option at all or B) created a 'spicy' option by simply throwing a spicy sauce on top of their regular chicken sandwich, as opposed to having a different seasoning entirely for their spicy sandwiches as CFA does.
Way too much breading for my tasteMaybe it's the restaurants themselves, but I've been to the Altoona and SE 14th locations, and the chicken wasn't very good.
Golden Chick not being on the list is the biggest crime, huge in TexasChicken Express not being on that list is a bigger crime!
Tenders - Raising Cane's (Zaxby's is very good too)
Sandwich - Popeye's
Bone-in - I'm not sure if it's still good but, growing up, Tom Thumb in Fort Dodge had terrific broasted chicken.
Note: It's probably been 20 years since it was discontinued but Hardee's made really good fried chicken for a short period of time.
Their service is ridiculously fast.Chick-fil-A for best fast food chicken and it's not even close. Spicy Chicken Deluxe w/ pepperjack and mayo, crispy waffle fries dipped in Chick-fil-A sauce, and a cold Coke/Dr. Pepper is amazing.
But it's not just the food. It's the service. I've never seen anything like it at any other restaurant. There could be 200 cars in our local drive-thru and your wait will still only be about 5 minutes lol.
I had one for lunch. Pretty good as far as Burger King goes. I wouldn't be driving past a Chick-fil-a or Popeyes to get one, but it's not a bad option.
The Chick-fil-A app is second to none too. The curb side delivery is a game changer. I typically hit the WDM University location and that drive through is a disaster. I've never sat in that line fewer than 15 minutes but that has nothing to do with the service, the line is just that long.Their service is ridiculously fast.
Not to keep revisiting the subject but my last two visits to Poopies is exactly why I call it that. That said, I would like to try the sandwich because of all the hype. The Popeyes chicken sandwich is amazing. I figured it was way too hyped up and I was going to be disappointed but that sandwich is solid. I actually like it better than Jesus chicken.
KFC not getting enough love in here. For bone in chicken, they are king. Pizza Ranch is a close 2nd.
No it is a husband a wife team. They don't like the Smokey D's guy.
