Just caught the tail end of his rant in the last segment... Ripping into Auburn BIG TIME for replacing Tuberville with Chizik. He doesn't understand how they replace Tuberville with someone worse. "If they had someone better in mind, fine. But they clearly didn't".

He's been at Auburn all day, lots of emails ripping Auburn too, many from Nick Saban lol. One of the worst hires he can remember, hiring a guy on a 10 game losing streak.

I hope his rant didn't include any negative references to ISU - our lack of tradition, can't win, coaching graveyard, etc. You gotta think banging on Gene can also bring us unwarranted criticism to us.

At this point, I like to think that all ties with him have been severed.

Only thing he talked about with ISU and Gene was the 10 game losing streak that didn't include Oklahoma, Texas, or Texas Tech.

The rest was all ripping Auburn and then he talked about Barkley's comments.

Good about not banging on us to hard. I'm sorry to see Barkley's race comments, but then maybe he's on to something with Auburn's history; especially with their BBall hire.

PS: Barkely is on record saying he will run for 'Bama Gov in 2014 - he's required by law to have at least 7 years residency.

Dang didn't get my simple email read.

"Dear Auburn,
Thank You

Signed,
Iowa State"

O well, Bama fan got a lot of shots off at Auburn today.

Here I'll sum it up for you:

Alabama is filled with racists and Chizik is a joke.

The country shouldn't wouldn't consider this if the media keeps bailing out Chizik...saying stuff like "he only went 5-19, but he was at Iowa State..."

That kills recruiting in a big way...

I really hope they can focus on him being a bad coach vs. our lack of tradition...Mac's 5 bowl games in 6 years line is something that needs to be thrown out there to ESPN, Rome, etc. to help us save some face!

Everyone that knows anything about football knows that ISU sucks in football. It's not something you can really hide.

I'm pretty sure they did have someone better in mind. Lots of people, in fact. Don't forget, they have interviewed at least a dozen candidates over the past several weeks. But when none of them would take the job, they became desperate enough to hire Chizik.

Muschamp accepted the job in principal, but wanted to report directly to the President, not the AD, similar to the deal Saban has. They wouldn't agree to that.

That's the President of the United States...not the University!
