This might be Coach Prohm's first public appearance recorded on video since his departure from ISU. On June 19, he was at Murray State to induct his mentor Billy Kennedy (currently an assistant coach at Wichita State) and his former star player Cameron Payne (currently the backup point guard of Phoenix Suns) to the 2020 Hall of Fame.

It's really nice to see Coach Prohm again. I hope he has spent some quality time with his family to reflect and recharge. Once a Cyclone, always a Cyclone. I'll never forget the good things he has done for the ISU basketball program and our university. May he find a good place that fits him and achieve more success in his future coaching career.

The following videos are his induction speeches. He is the same great person he has always been, genuine, humble and grateful. In the first video, Coach Prohm got very emotional starting at the 4:50 mark.

Watch the bald guy from 3:16 to the 3:24 mark and it shows what the Cyclones fans felt last year. Hilarious!

I'm sure he's a good guy but he was a horrible hire and a really bad fit for the culture of a Midwestern program like Iowa State.

Guy can stay in the south.
OK - then blame the guy who hired him - and then that same guy who extended him?
I mean, Prohm is who he is. It proved Pollard had absolutely no insight into what constitutes a good basketball coach...

From all the rumors I heard Pollard was forced into hiring him by Leath. I'd say Pollard did well with the Hoiberg and TJ hires.

To be fair, we made it to post #2 before it went off the rails

Oh it was off the rails before it was even opened.

Football camp starts in like 6 weeks.

I'll assume this thread goes strong until then.
