A couple that come to mind:
Matt Berninger of the National
Jim James of My Morning Jacket

I was there. Journey's singer was Jeff Scott Soto. He did wear a football jersey tho.The Journey/Def Lepard show in Hilton quiet a few years ago was awful. Joe Elliot was really bad and Journey was like in between lead singer. Probably the worst sounding one I've been to.

I like your taste. I swear the lead singer for The National doubles as the singer for Future Islands.A couple that come to mind:

Andrew Bird
Fleet Foxes
Father John Misty
Ben Harper
Tom Petty

Jason Isbell
Megafaun
Zach de la Rocha (Rage)
Lots of others. I suppose maybe the voices weren't as 'clear' as studio but more powerful.
That's a good call. The whole band is actually really good live.Nick Hexum is always on point for 311. The one that always surprised me was Chris Cornell, you hear those Sonics on an album and think they are highly manipulated but then he just nailed it live too. Exceptional vocal talent. RIP.
That is one hell of list. I don't bump into too many othe JTE fans, even in TX.
Saw him with bill Joel, many years ago. Both sounded fine.Had tickets for Elton John last year (cancelled owing to COVID), as was really interested to hear what he sounds like at 83. He's supposed to re-book, and our tickets are supposedly still good for that.
I've seen them many times. Vince is also a good "replacement."Don Henley and Glenn Frey both sound awesome live.

Never saw JTE in concert, but from youtube videos of him live it could be really hit or miss on his vocal quality - depending on his sobriety.
The one who blew me away was when we saw Norah Jones in New Orleans in 2001, just as she was becoming famous. She was awesome.
