Biggest disappointment was Counting Crows. Adam was awful and the band matched. Luckily "Live" saved the show, they were on point. I was really hoping for a repeat of their Codfish show I saw online, no dice. If y'all haven't been to Codfish yet, get there, great experience.
The Journey/Def Lepard show in Hilton quiet a few years ago was awful. Joe Elliot was really bad and Journey was like in between lead singer. Probably the worst sounding one I've been to.
Disappointing concerts (vocally):
Cars (can't reproduce their sound live)
Stevie Nicks ( stoned out of her mind)
Vince Neil ... absolutely terrible
David Lee Roth (2019)
Axl Rose
John Denver...right there in CY Stevens and few years later at Hilton. He performed along with the Des Moines Symphony. The very best when it was just him and his guitar.

I worked at Hilton and CY during school. Thus I saw a lot of concerts. Here's a few that sounded a lot like the recording:
John Denver
Marshall Tucker
Kansas
Billy Joel
And then some that sounded like crap:

Had tickets for Elton John last year (cancelled owing to COVID), as was really interested to hear what he sounds like at 83. He's supposed to re-book, and our tickets are supposedly still good for that.
No warm up act. Came out and played for Hour+ took a 15-20 minute break and came out again for an hour set.I would have loved to catch a John Denver show, my late father in law raved about that Hilton show.
Were you there when we couldn't get Elton's Piano to drive back in its hole LOLI worked at Hilton and CY during school. Thus I saw a lot of concerts. Here's a few that sounded a lot like the recording:
