Biggest disappointment was Counting Crows. Adam was awful and the band matched. Luckily "Live" saved the show, they were on point. I was really hoping for a repeat of their Codfish show I saw online, no dice. If y'all haven't been to Codfish yet, get there, great experience.

I was bummed I missed out on tickets to Shakey Graves there in August.

Richie McDonald with Lonestar.

His earpiece wasn't working during the concert. The guy was spot on for tone, pitch, etc.

Disappointing concerts (vocally):
Cars (can't reproduce their sound live)
Stevie Nicks ( stoned out of her mind)
Vince Neil ... absolutely terrible
David Lee Roth (2019)
Axl Rose

He was in Boone a few weeks ago and was god awful. His voice is gone!

John Denver...right there in CY Stevens and few years later at Hilton. He performed along with the Des Moines Symphony. The very best when it was just him and his guitar.

I worked at Hilton and CY during school. Thus I saw a lot of concerts. Here's a few that sounded a lot like the recording:
John Denver
Marshall Tucker
Kansas
Billy Joel

And then some that sounded like crap:
Cheap Trick
Cheap Trick
Cheap Trick

I haven't been to many live concerts but two of the concerts I attended in high school had Halestorm as an opening band. Lzzy Hale is a very good performer. Their drummer was insane too.

Axl was absolutely bombed when I saw GnR in the Metrodome in 92. Could barely stand up much less sing. Metallica absolutely outplayed them as the opening act. GnR broke up less than a couple months later. Glad I saw them when I did but Rose ruined that show.

You can't get tickets to anything there. I live 40 minutes away and everything is always sold before I even hear about it.

I would have loved to catch a John Denver show, my late father in law raved about that Hilton show.

I remember at some festival years ago when Bare Naked Ladies hit the stage how good they were and sounded.

Adele has an amazing voice.

Not the best voice I've heard, but I saw Tony Bennett a couple of years ago and after he warmed up a bit, he's voice was still pretty damn good at 90.

I took my wife to see Harry Connick at CY, years ago. He was pretty spot on and has amazing range.

Luciano Pavarotti, "three tenors" tour in C'bus, OH, at the Schottenstein at tOSU. They were backed by the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. He wasn't 100% healthy, but man what an amazing voice and performance.
