Condon is a complete idiot on this.. Sure we could go 2-10 if half our starters are out most of the season and CMC decides to become a monk and move to hills of China.

We literally have 8-9 1st team big 12 players....(2) Heisman candidates...and one of best coaching staffs in college football.

Condon is basing his backwards logic on our close loses and wins in 2019 and 2020. Fortunately in sports you make your own luck.

Right. I think worst case scenario is wheels falling off the rails at 7-5.

I don't know who Condon is, and he sounds like the kind of moron I don't need to know more about.

I mean, sure, there are wild scenarios like we lose the entire offense to a hand grenade accident, but you've gotta be a little bit thoughtful in putting things together.
You don’t know who he is and you are a Iowa state fan? Do you live under a rock?

2-10 though? Really? I mean why would you want to be that much of a Devil’s advocate? Lol like sure, there’s always a chance for something crazy to happen, but 2-10?? That’s virtually impossible for this team unless we have an event like We Are Marshall happen.

We went 3-2 in close games in 2020 if you count Baylor (wouldn’t have been close if not for a disaster OSU first half). Not sure where people get off saying we got all the breaks.

If that's what he actually said, then wow. You could make an argument of us going 6-6 with the breaks going against us, but saying you could argue for 10 losses is ridiculous.

And there's literally not even a drop of Kool-Aid in this post. This is how good the program is.
And here we are giving him attention. Now that I think about it, oops.

In the few times I've listened to Miller and Condon it sounds like high school kids doing their best "announcer impression voice". It's unbearable for me.

Their show is literally the same every week. Guests are the same, Miller can’t string 2 words together without sounding wasted (he did bring sports talk to Des Moines which was good I’ll admit) and Condon tries to pretend he is impartial for 5 minutes a show then goes full blown Hok. Lather, rinse, repeat, 5 days a week. Idk who’s more obnoxious, him or Travis Justice.

Condon LOVES to throw shade our our injury luck last year and all of our close wins reverting to the mean..

Every team wins close games unless they are Bama. We had our best lineman, 2nd best WR, our RT, second corner all go down during the season. Campbell's 2-deep is soo strong that there wasn't a big drop off when the backups came in

in 2005 Iowa entered the season in the Top 10? Very high expectations..alot of returning talent..The wheels came off that season for Iowa and Drew Tate was in and out alot that year...They still went 7-5 and made a decent bowl.

I'll say this..hard part about this season is the Big 12 is going to be brutal IMO. teams like TT, KSU and even Baylor will be improved IMO. Heck KU will be better based on coaching alone. OU has a legit NC contending roster.

Injury luck? We lost our best OL the first game for the entire season

Our starting RT the first play in Dallas

Kolar was hurt

Soehner was hurt

Daniel Jackson was hurt

Milton was hurt

Who else am I missing that missed games?
