That West is an absolute trash football league. I guess it really can’t be helped when you’re adding KU to what has been the worst division of a P5 conference for a long time...
Wisconsin and Iowa are every bit as strong as Michigan and Penn State. No one is in Ohio State's league anyway. Who else could they possibly put in the West that would be better than Iowa State? Maybe Colorado?

Didn't Nebraska lose their AAU membership and they still let them in.
They basically lost it after the fact, however, there were strong reports that if they had been kicked out of the AAU earlier (before the Big 10 admittance was official) they would not have been invited to the Big 10.

OSU and ISU would be good adds for the PAC.

They would.

I think KU to the B1G is almost a lock.

I would say who holds the key to ISU's future might be Notre Dame. If they go to the B1G, we go PAC. If they go to the ACC or try to stay independent, we'll have a shot at the B1G.

Seriously? What does the BIG gain by adding us?

ISU has lost 5 straight to a Big 10 west team. ISU is closer to Minnesota as of late than Wisconsin, Northwestern or Iowa.

KU would easily be the worst team in the division but they would be very, very competitive basketball-wise.

Last time around ISU was pitching the idea that we would add hockey for the Big Ten network. I would assume that would be on the table this time around as well.

In short, they gain another AAU institution with a top 10 football program, excellent facilities, one of the most passionate fan bases in the country, and a campus located in their back yard. If they're going to expand, ISU is an attractive option.

ISU to the Big 1G is never happening. ISU can't add more than they'd take away from the pot.

The only realistic scenario for ISU is the Big 12 continues in its current form. OU and TX leaving would relinquish power 5 status. The TV contract would fall through the floor. The tickets and donations would fall through the floor. ISU would be absolutely devastated.

It's completely disingenuous to call ISU a top 10 football program. It's one of the worst programs in college football history. If flashes in the pan mattered Boise State would be playing in a big boy conference.

Wisconsin and Iowa only appear as strong as Michigan and Penn State because they don’t play the same schedule. Both are exposed any time they play good competition. The problem with B1G divisions is that it’s really hard to split UM-OSU-MSU because of the rivalries and sending Penn State to the West makes no sense for travel. Maybe the answer is adding KU to the B1G East and moving an existing team to the West.
