If the KU thing has legs then ISU is also in the mix. Silence is Golden.KU makes zero sense from a football perspective, the Big10 would get more viewers watching Bob Ross paint than KU football. It not like the KU v Nebraska rivalry was huge. It also further weakens the Big10 West. But maybe that changes soon anyway.
But if the Big10's goal is to get to 18-22 teams it makes a bunch of sense. KU is a top 5 basketball brand and playing 10-15 games on the Big10 Network might be tremendously valuable for a conference with a linear network. Also could mean a lot to FOX's basketball programming if they go all in on Big10 and replace ESPN's media rights.
If the Big10's first move is KU, that tells me they have at least a couple ACC or PAC12 big dogs from a football standpoint about ready to join also.
Stick it (Texas)! Is she saying she loves me? That’s how I’m reading her lips….dunno
Definitely a cream puff division. Can you guys even imagine the Big 10 West with Kansas added. Can’t print fake IDs fast enough.
They would be ranked #24 in the following year’s preseason poll. Can you guys even imagine the Big 10 West with Kansas added. Can’t print fake IDs fast enough.
Guaranteed losses in football. Builds the B1G West resume. So, every decision being made right now is based on football and money. How does Kansas help the B1G with either of those?
that gives Iowa another easy victoryIf KU goes B1G and we don’t, it tells me that the West is scared of us. They’re already starting to lose the recruiting battles. Do you really think they want CMC in their conference?
(On the other hand, PLEASE let us in B1G. We promise not to be too good.)![]()
NahI say go independent, works for ND! They can get in a conference for a year and pull out the next! Pick who we play!
They left out the best part - the only D1 football school with a track around their field.
This is a hoax.
KU actually built one of the best track facilities in the country 7 years ago and finally removed that track from Memorial. Still one of the worst stadiums standing.
