You are grossly overestimating the stability of the PAC.
Every media member on the West Coast has been saying the same thing the last few days. That the Pac-12 needs money and can get that from a TV partnership with the Big 12 without hurting the academic/culture brand of the Pac-12 by adding Big 12 teams. These people are clearly hearing essentially the same thing from the respective Pac-12 schools in their area. There isn't a giant conspiracy to take down ISU.

You need to stop thinking the rest of the country is as excited about ISU football as ISU fans are.
And you, good sir, need to stop acting like ISU is the same program as it was back in 2010. I can guarantee you right now that actual college football fans could name more players on Iowa State than they could on Purdue, Rutgers, Maryland, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Pitt, Syracuse, Florida State, NCST, etc.

We're not a national brand, no, but we're not dog water anymore. We have well known players, we have well known coaches, and we are growing. To act like we aren't is not only pessimistic, it's just wrong. You can look at plenty of different data points that prove that.

BS, we are ranked in the top 10 in basically every poll out there, sports writers all across the country, just not in Eastern Iowa, are talking about ISU and have been about Campbell for a couple of years now.

America loves an underdog, and ISU is that underdo this season. Its a feel good story just like when Loyola made it into the final four for bb. People want to see the underdog beat the blue blood school and punch above their weight.

ISU for the first time in its history is gaining respect nationally, and that is a great thing for the fan base and the university as a whole.

I need to hear that from someone other than ISU fans to have confidence. Sorry

I was living in Phoenix when the Fiesta Bowl was going on. Nobody even knew the game was being played other than ISU and Oregon fans.

Welcome to Phoenix....

Also, if fans would have been able to attend, the people of Phoenix would have known a game was going on because we would have painted that city cardinal and gold.

i believe in mizzou there is no open container law for someone 21+.

so you can drink and drive. just no drunk driving
The driver cannot be drinking, but everyone else in the vehicle may. We pulled this on a friend of ours a few years ago going down to St. Louis to catch a Cards game. Once we hit Missouri, hit a gas station and drank all the way down. He was fine with it since he was driving and it was his truck, and it was sure fun for the rest of us.

No, they're not...but you have to admit that a couple big FUs to UT and OU on their way (hopefully also our way) out the door is a fun story line. UT/ISU and ISU/OU will get a lot of attention this season at a critical time in realignment.

ISU vs. OU is ranked the biggest game of the year in the Big 12. Not Texas vs. OU. Not OSU vs. OU.

You can make the argument "well it's only been two years", well no s*** lol, you have to start somewhere. You don't just become relevant overnight.

am i wrong?
STL to Nashville doesn’t get enough rep for how freakin brutal that stretch is.

I'm all about sticking it to OU and Texas. I'm not sure even winning the conference championship is going to move the needle. Boise State has been playing exciting football for years and has even won the Fiesta Bowl and they still can't find a home in a major conference. I like watching NDSU play too.
