I have a ticket to Sunday that I can't use. Does anyone want it? They're still selling for $80 on their website, how about $25 OBO?

Does anyone just want the thing for free? I just want it to go to someone who will use it. I think I can email it to you, there doesn't seem to be a way to transfer it in the Tixr website.

I can likely find a friend to join me on Sunday - I'll PM you. Thanks!

Do they let you go back and forth between the parking lot and the festival?

As far as I remember, yes. We were thinking about getting one of the cheaper camping passes just to put up an awning and have a cooler. Problem is I'm not sure there's a big enough gap between acts I want to see to justify walking there and back.

Historically yes. You will have a wrist band that you swap your ticket out for, and there's a little bus that can take you to the parking lot. So the bus ride sucks, so you may want to walk, but you can get in and out that way. In fact, the cleanest kaibos (is that spelled correctly?) are right outside the gate.

Sounds good.

My wife has almost zero interest in going, so I’m trying to decide on when to show up on Saturday. I didn’t exactly consult her when I bought the tickets. It’ll help if we can go back and forth between the car and stuff to relax and get some AC, if needed.

I'd say get there by 2:30 latest. Never seen him live but I've got a hunch Paul Cauthen will put on a hell of a show. I've gone back and forth the couple times I've been to the festival and it wasn't too much of an inconvenience really. Busses are running constantly so you don't have to time it or stand around for too long. Definitely a good idea to get away from the crowd and sun for a bit and relax in the ac.

There we go! I have no clue how to even google the correct pronunciation of what I assume is either a brand name or a colloquial term? I should research the etymology of the term, in all honesty - that would be an interesting Twitter account or something, blurbs on why we call things by odd names in the midwest. I want to know who came up with "scotcheroo" and why.

I could eat a pan of scotcharoos right now.

See what I did there? I actually have no idea what the correct spelling is, but I was serious about eating them.

Exactly! It doesn't matter exactly how the folksy spelling goes - all that matters is that we're getting our skocheroo on! ;)

I had never heard “Kybo” before moving to Iowa. I can’t find the original, but there are several online sources that reference a DM Register article: the company founder, to distinguish his brand, wanted a name that didn’t include “John.” Stands for Keep Your Bowels Open. Yuck.

Think it’s time to pour myself a scotcharoo!

(That absolutely sounds like a Brent Musberger-ism).

That. Is. Horrifying. I'm going to guess that he was a real classy sort of fella. :D

Kind of feel like Childers owes me money. No Feathered Indians, Whitehouse Road, Nose on the Grindstone, Lady May, Shake the Frost or Follow me to Virgie. Heck I’d have taken just a couple of those. Plus the whole thing was pretty low-energy. Huge disappointment.

Other than that every other act has been really good.

I've seen him live once and wasn't overly impressed. His voice sounds great but he didn't really seem all that interested to be there.

I enjoy Childers “country squire” album. His old stuff was better. His latest “album” was trash.

she’s working hard to make some sense, but she ain’t got a dime
