Hey if edibles is your thing great. I don't think there is anything wrong with it. But the tendency to over do it, especially with newbies, is a real thing. It's not just something I made up.

I'm having the opposite issue with the edibles I picked up. Started with a half of a gummy to micro dose. Took the edge off. Highly recommend.

Took a larger dose so I could battle needle phobia and it didn't do much. Bumping it up again to see what happens.

This is the second comment I see related to stress/anxiety. I too fall into that camp. I've been recently diagnosed with ADHD and have always had pretty severe anxiety. Of all things, I was sitting in a meeting with a psychiatrist I was working with professionally who commented on my ADHD and how well I've learned to deal with it. I never thought it could be ADHD (my mother/brother are poster children of bad cases so my problems didn't even look like problems compared to them). That inspired me to actually seek medical help through therapy and medication.

I felt that adderall actually helped me control my anxiety a bit by helping "me" control my thoughts vs my brain just taking over. I don't like taking medication/drugs/alcohol due to the fear of losing control. I still drink in moderation but really don't like how it makes me feel and still fear getting drunk were "I'm" no longer in control. Its a vicious cycle. Having anxiety over taking medication that can help with anxiety. WTF lol.

I dabbled in CBD a few years ago when it was readily available before they cracked down on it and found it really helped. I've smoked weed a few times in my life and honestly preferred that vs alcohol. I'm VERY interested in edibles but again the anxiety of getting caught/fired/having my name in the paper is enough to stop me. Which is a shame because I feel like a microdose of THC/CBD could be one of the best treatments for me.

Good luck brother!
Perhaps you can look into medicinal card?

IT is always a great idea to use both alcohol and weed to escape the normal adult pressures of life...because, as you know, it makes you fully capable of facing those realities. So enjoy your gummies, cookies, and ..for sure ..such all of those harmful chemicals into your lungs..old age will thank you a thousand times...if you make. What a clown show of choices.

Lol.

The “weed is a gateway drug“ argument was just a fear tactic used by the government, the media, and the alcohol lobby to scare the public and to drive up anti marijuana legalization sentiment. (And it worked)
I don't think everyone has the same definition of gateway. Do people who smoke pot and drink put themselves in more situations where they have access to harder drugs? Probably. Is that the same as someone who got addicted to oxy's using heroing to get their fix because it's easier to get?

well, weed and sex go together very well. Anyone ever tried the combo? All the sensations are heightened or amplified.
Yeah, but it also sounds like a lot of work when you're chilling on the couch.

I haven't smoked any weed in over 25 years. Ironic since I now live in a state where it's legal. The last couple times I did it I had really bad issues with paranoia. Maybe it was just bad stuff but I'd already decided I wasn't going to do it anymore anyway once I was married. I'm open to trying gummies or other edibles though, just haven't gotten around to it.

I asked my primary before about it and he told me that Mercy wouldn't let him do it or something like that (actually, I think it was that anxiety wasn't a qualifying symptom for the state of Iowa). This was a few years ago though so maybe I should ask again. It's funny when I went in for my last physical they ask if I take any drugs "except weed, we don't really care about that" which made me laugh. I have a Dr friend as well who offered but I don't want to cross that relationship boundary.

So the government would knowingly mislead us? Huh...

The Iowa guy thread got me thinking about vices. Substance not other.. First off, your preference. I'm sure liking gummies after decades of not using it. So many alternatives available. Not hung over in morning. Always calming vs what booze brings. No calories.

You don't give a third choice. Some of us would chose Diet Pepsi or (insert non-alcholic drink of your choice here) over weed or alcohol.

Only time I consistently smoked a few days in a row I started actually feeling less ambition and realized why I found a few of my friends tended to be unreliable.

Haven't smoked since.

There's a good chance these were just unreliable people to start with but overall I still just didn't like the outcome.

@TXCyclones haha how can you disagree with my personal experience?

Really...tell me more about this DA who thinks its a good idea to go to trial with nothing more than a message board comment. :laughing.
And what exactly would be the charge? I could walk up to a cop and tell him I smoked a doobie yesterday and I’m pretty sure he couldn’t arrest me.
