Event hough I'm not a Sox fan, I think they should be the home team every time they do this. Them or the Cubs. Maybe. Definitely the Sox though.

Make this the All star game venue every year, I Say. Could it get any better. Although they would have to hold the all Star game later for the corn to get grown.

Others have already said it but this was an absolutely huge night for baseball. The hype this game had and to not only live up to it but completely blow it out of the water.... damn. There’s likely a ton of kids (hell, even some adults) that fell in love with the game tonight and that is just really, really cool.
Even competing ESPN did a big thing about it on SportsCenter although they do have a vested interest in baseball.

the manager comes out Costner gives him the low down on what they were talking about and the manager says candlesticks make a great wedding gift. I had to google search it. It's in a group of 37 best quotes in Bull Durham. There were a lot of great lines in that movie.
OK, gonna have to watch that one again. For sure.

I honestly can’t get over how well this whole thing has been. It’s been done so right in so many ways. I turned it on late but dvr’d it and was thinking ‘oh this will be kind cool’ then it got dusty in my house real quick. Little JM came up to me after the intro and Maddie Poppe singing the anthem with his helmet glove and bat and asked me to go play catch. I couldn’t even answer the kid, I just nodded. Baseball is a special, special game.
I'm not even sure what you said. But I like it.

This had more to do with how there are fewer African American players than there used to be and ARod was hoping this would be a small step towards reversing that trend.
I agree. Actually stating the problem first could have helped clarify his intended purpose. He kind of took it for granted the audience would know what he was talking about. However, I bet the majority who heard it aren't familiar with the situation, so it will come off as unnecessary, divisive, or a head scratcher to many, which perhaps ARod himself will agree, was a missed opportunity.
