I have been keeping tabs. UNLV appears to have plenty of unused seats. However, the plan appears to be to release a limited number of seats for sale at a time. This allows the school to keep the prices up. If the current seats sell, my guess is that the school just releases more, albeit a limited amount. My guess is that prices on the secondary market will continue to decline as we approach game time, but you never now. Plus, I think there is a limit on how far they fall due to supply and demand. My plan is to be patient and see what happens.we are holding out for buying tix too, hoping 3rd party platform prices drop a bit. There seems to be plenty available at face value and it’s hard to imagine those prices don’t drop as it gets closer. Has anyone kept an eye on new releases from UNLV? They had been releasing small sections of new tickets at a time.
Just went to the site and saw the same thing. UNLV must have figured it has ripped off as many ISU fans as it could. Now it is selling 300 level tickets between the 35 yard lines, which are great seats, for only $33 including fees. Glad I waited. Several in my group were contemplating skipping the game due to the cost, but not anymore. It appears you can buy 300 level tickets through the UNLV website. $33/ticket
The ones that were skipping and aren’t now, good luck finding hotel and airfare this lateJust went to the site and saw the same thing. I just checked and you can leave Friday and get back Sunday from Milwaukee flights and hotel from $245/person. Hampton Inn is $332 and Bellagio is $576. Those are with flights.
There are a million rooms and flights and there are going to be a lot of cheap tickets to the game. I understand that people want to have tickets to an event before booking travel, but anyone who goes to a lot of concerts and/or sporting events saw this one coming a mile away. Classic Iowa people.
Yeah, check page 2 of this thread and the 16 people who agreed with me 3 months ago when I told everyone to relax.
There is a zero percent chance that tickets are going for face or over on GameDay.
I don’t disagree with you just chuckle at your statement of “classic Iowa people”
People are cautious, or nervous or just inexperienced travelers all over the world. Why single out iowans?
Because the UNLV Athletic Department specifically took Iowans to the cleaners on this one.
Someone just quoted today that either the stadium or Vegas (not sure what they were implying) wouldn't be ready for all the ISU fans. I'm sure Vegas or an NFL stadium can't handle 10-15 thousand football fans.
And because Iowans are rubes and they prove it over and over.
