They will probably do something stupid like Luke Bryant (he as a concert in CR on Friday night

Puleeez no. Although something like that totally wouldn't surprise me, given the timing/location... how convenient.

I'm not going to lose sleep about guest-picker, but I'd kind of like to have someone who's at least somewhat connected with ISU sports.

Given how ESPN rolls, they’ll probably choose Gary Barta or Ashton Koochter.

Would be awesome news! If you don't want GameDay in Ames, then you don't want what is best for the Iowa State football program. Simple as that. Quite frankly, pull your head out of your ***. Only exception to this is if you think Navy deserves it for 9/11 - if you are complaining because tailgating will be less convenient then go jump in Lake Laverne.

I thought it should be at Navy because I felt the service academies deserved to have it for the 20th anniversary.

That being said, I don’t think we’re in a position to say no to the additional publicity. Should be a fun day either way.

The sad part is, they'll confiscate any signs and eliminate any mention of what they've tried to do to us.

It's amazing how little I care about this compared to two years ago.
Be creative getting signs in. Create the sign you want to have and use a repositionable art fixative to stick it behind the sign they will let in. Make sure you are on camera before you show the world the sign that sticks it to ESPN.

Go in separate and have 3 people carry 1/3 of the sign. Then hold it together on camera.

Or hide a sharpie and write on the back.

I agree but it being the 20th anniversary of 9/11 will be a great opportunity to talk about the Cy-Hawk game from 2001 that was moved to the end of the season and the better team won.

I worked for that particular trucking company for a number of years and to be fair....its a pretty ******* sweet truck....
If you are talking about TanTara, I thought there was a disagreement last year and they parted ways with Hawkeye football. It might have been over players kneeling, I can't remember.
I live in Muscatine and see those trailers all the time.

Way up there
Perfect chance to wax a top 25 b1g team in front of Herbie and Reece, I really hope they get showered with boo's and plenty of signs calling them out for their bias and hypocrisy.

This feels like a con job by ESPN.

Step 1: Take a huge dump on the conference, university and fans
Step 2: put out a rumor that Game Day is coming, get the fan base excited that the people trying to destroy us want them here.
Step 3: Take another huge dump on the university and fan base and go somewhere else for Game Day.
Step 4:Fan base looks like idiots

As much as this would entertain me, I'd prefer to just see a fun, loud, enthusiastic gameday atmosphere. I'd like to see something similar to the Michigan basketball game where they need to cut to commercials because there is too much noise.

Also, I'm cool with any sign that insults Brian Ferentz.
