Why do you give some Hawk fans so much power over you? You are so inconsistent. Why does this mentality not follow you to the idea that "if you don't like the arrogance of hawk fans, then shut them up by beating them." I imagine KF will have this mentality with his team. If you don't like it, then beat them.

The attitude you express on your posts is just fodder for Hawk fans to claim 'lil brother'. I am signing off for the week. Best of luck to both teams! I hope everyone can enjoy the week rather than let it fuel anger.
Whining that we can’t wear black because it might upset the Hawkeye players and fans is the epitome of giving them power over you.

Good. **** them. I don’t give two ***** about them. If the players and Campbell (you know, the people that actually decide it) determine they want to wear all black just because they know the little piss babies in Iowa City will cry and piss themselves about it, more power to them. **** the Hawkeyes.

I don't know why any Iowa fan would be p*ssed about ISU wearing black. It's flattering, I love it.

Yes, JP has always been fairly brash towards Iowa, which for a civilized person would never be more than sports related trash talk.
On the other hand, after the locker room break in and bandgate fiascos, it’s clear your AD is inflammatory and/or moronic. He should stick with helping your coach cover up sexual assault.
And as a kid I was an Iowa fan and went to a fair amount of games at Kinnick. The fan base has WAY too many Raider fan wannabe trash. Throwing **** like mad dog bottles at the opposing sidelines was a common occurrence that got lots of high fives.

I don't think Barta is smart enough to be inflammatory, so I agree with moronic. Barta has not helped anyone cover up sexual assault.

Your post is uncharacteristically emotional by the high standards you have earned from this board.

I really hope the game has a feel of OU last year at home. Just an awesome crowd and energy.

The 2019 ISU/Iowa game was maybe the oddest game I've ever seen. We score a touchdown, then 4 hour weather delay..

How do you feel about the spread or how this will go? I think Goodsen is borderline elite, but Petras still has holes to his game in a big way.

Is it not inflammatory to send letters to every Big 12 school about isu security and then have it turn out that one of your own was in the Iowa locker room stealing ****? What about making a massive ordeal about an “assault” on Iowa band members that ended up being nothing? Is that inflammatory?

Game Day being in Ames Saturday is great opportunity to showcase ISU and how far we have come in the past 5 years. We need to pack their stage and the stands with tens of thousands of other people just tailgating and showing everyone that ISU deserves a place at a P5 table.
We want the ESPN stage talent to be saying on the air "ISU deserves to be a member of the Pac 12 or Big 10", and those conferences would be foolish not to jump at the chance to pick us up.

Not sure. My first reaction to yesterday was... another year, another season of Phil Parker bailing Brian Ferentz out. The O is still a big question mark. Petras looked better, looked more steady in the pocket and was actually victimized by a few bad drops. Hard to know for sure because being up so big I don't know how much of the offense we got to see. TG looked great, and the DL was much better than I was expecting.

Since I can't think of any Iowa connection to any Disney movie/show they want to promote I am going to predict the guest goof will be someone I'll have to Google to know who he/she is. Assuming I even watch this carnival barker sideshow, which I probably won't.

A strong run game and strong defense will be expected outta you guys. The last 25 years backs that up.

Respectfully, I disagree with some of your take. JP has made it a point to "poke" Iowa from day one. It is not a reach for Hawk fans to see wearing the all black unis this week would be intended to incite and fuel the rivalry even further.

The rivalry is already "stoked" to levels I have never seen in over 50 years of living. An already emotional week, combined with other societal factors, will not take much to create a truly hostile environment. I don't mean hostile the way we usually use it with sports. I mean hostile as in potentially violent. Anything, not just uniform choices, can push it over the edge.

This might be the stupidest thing I've ever read. At least a contender.

James Murray from Impractical Jokers could be a possibility, as he will be in WDM Friday night and Dubuque Saturday night with Ames in the middle?
