Dekkers can do everything Purdy does. Its not like Dekkers can't throw little swing passes and other short passes. There's nothing Purdy can do that Dekkers can't. Hell Alabama and those teams are always benching guys that have been starters.

This is kinda where I’m at. Dekkers clearly throws a better ball too, that is undeniable. Is his decision-making developed enough to be in pressure situations? That’s what we don’t know and why Purdy will keep the job.

The problem is not the QB. It's the tempo. We moved the ball better with Dekkers because we had to get aggressive. We moved the ball with Purdy when we allowed him to up the tempo at the end of the half (and against UNI). I liked what I saw from Dekkers, but Purdy is not the problem.

My mind has changed on this as of yesterday. I now believe that given equal play calling, Dekkers may give us the better chance to win.

Yep…fun fact we don’t have to play Big10 football against Iowa we can play Big12 ball. We won’t beat them at their own game ever

Ok our two biggest games in school history is B12 Championship vs Oklahoma and today's game. Purdy has what 1 TDs and 7 interceptions. He's good enough to game manager with an elite defense but I don't see any argument why he is untouchable.

Also, maybe its on the QB to set the tone for his team in week 1 every season, just sayin.

Well thank goodness you’re going to stop watching then.

you won’t have to worry about who the starting QB will be next Saturday night

I knew this would come up and it is total BS in my opinion. Purdy was to blame for the first INT for being somewhat under thrown, the other two were dropped pass and tipped off the line get over the Purdy blame game!

I’d be shocked if we do bench him, but he does not look good. Most deep shots are ducks and under thrown. His footwork in the pocket is poor (always has been), he does not step up in the pocket.

In the few series Dekkers was in, granted the defense wasn’t the same, he appeared to sit in the pocket for much longer, and obviously the arm strength is better.

Can I just say that adding weight and muscle in the off-season isn't always the right idea? There are running backs who do it every year in the NFL and it never seems to be a good thing.

I agree that there is still a lot of season left. But the glaring issues we've seen year in and year out in September STILL not being addressed, even after Campbell said over and over that they're focusing on it is concerning.

Then you’re ready to move on from Campbell then? Because the system, and the process, is all him.

Honestly this is all on Tom Manning. He rarely put the offense in a play to succeed. He was out coached by an insane margin today and last week. He’s got to go
I don't get the play call on the early series where we end up kicking a FG. We throw a 5 yd crossing route where we need 10 for a TD/first down. Nothing good is going to happen and risk a tipped ball. Either plan for a TD or run and plan to kick the FG.

CMC seemed to acknowledge Brock is questioning whether Brock wants to start:

"“I would assume Brock’s going to be our guy,” Campbell said when asked if he still expects Purdy to start next week’s game against UNLV."

The head coach "assumes" Brock will start against UNLV?? We don't have a QB controversy; we have a coach/QB controversy. CMC still has a chance to beat Iowa -- he took away Brock's last chance to beat Iowa.

Or Brock isn’t 100 % healthy.

you guys pumping yourselves over replacing the qb and oc are going to be sorely disappointed when none of that happens.

just don’t enjoy any big wins because those same two people will be a part of those

We can still win 8 games with Brock we just have nothing to lose and everything to gain by going with Dekkers.

Accept losing the entire team..

Everything is still in front of this team with B Purdy as QB.

Get a grip. Purdy had a bad game and I'd say our WR's had a worse game.
