Yes to have a special season by beating Iowa and everyone else on the schedule. Little more context there.
I’m shocked he twisted your words

My fault for poor phrasing. Yes beating Iowa was important as it is a box to check that hadn’t been checked along with a few others for the senior class.I’m shocked he twisted your words

I don’t know if that’s the case, each player handles goals and pressure differently. And one thing I’ve learned over the years, college athletes have short memories, they’ll be focused on what’s next pretty quickly. Is there too much internal pressure from the team?
Like they're too worried about checking things off instead of just going out and playing ball.
Chris,Enjoy.

Williams & Blum: Licking our wounds post Cy-Hawk ... Next stop, Vegas
Williams and Blum with some verbal therapy following another Iowa State loss in the Cy-Hawk game. The guys look ahead to the rest of the season. What's wrong with Brock Purdy? Talking Big 12, Vegas and more, courtesy of Mechdyne.cyclonefanatic.com
I think tornado may be Macs brother, or outside chance at him. It always reverts back to DMac is the best we ever had or ever will have since beating Iowa is all he cared about. My fault for poor phrasing. Chris always appreciate you and Your teams work. Thanks for all you guys do.
CMC was pissed but I think mostly at himself. It’s not just the TOE game but also UNI. Just like he was pissed at the defense a few years ago and they came up with the three man front. I think we see a similar change in the offense. I trust the coaches to figure out how but you hit on a few key concepts. I think we become simpler, faster and start changing tempo up. I almost wonder if we’re too complicated with guys thinking too much?
Maybe this loss winds up spurring some change and innovation that pays off down the road.
Generally, I think our offense has been playing “not to lose” instead of playing to win.
I AM NOT YEARNING FOR A 3-9 SEASON AND BEATING IOWA.....Imagine yearning for 3-9 seasons so long as ISU beat Iowa.
I thought the podcast was pretty much on point.
Agreed with Williams that ISU kind of played into the Hawks hands by not speeding things up. Works in the B12 because ISU is an anomaly in that they play great D, ball control ect. but that's basically been KF's game since he's been there.
The ISU D did it's job...obviously turnovers killed the Clones. Tory Taylor was probably Iowa's MVP.

I’d be okay with this as well or at least moving it back so we play them when we actually know what we’re doingI can tell you this——unless we luck out and get to the Big 10, I’m in favor of dropping this game. I did not miss it last year and it is no fun. Since our new conference is so great, no need to play Iowa.
Those who wanted to understand were easily able to do so.Not your fault. Most of us understood it.
Why is beating Iowa and having successful seasons mutually exclusive to you and others on this site? What happend Saturday (given the vast experience that was returning on this team) is simply unacceptable. Given we have seen this same urgency of play for 2 weeks now, I am beginning to question some of the player leadership of this team (and not on the defensive side of the ball). Coaches can only do so much, at some point the players have to execute, and to put it bluntly execution is a far cry from what this offense has done the first two weeks.Imagine yearning for 3-9 seasons so long as ISU beat Iowa.
Are you sure you're not also twisting some words here? I don't see anyone here wishing for only one win each season.Imagine yearning for 3-9 seasons so long as ISU beat Iowa.
Purdy playing for his spot this game. This week will be critical. UNLV will be the worst team we play all year. It’s a chance for the offense to get right and back on track. If we struggle again, we should all be very concerned.
