So far his coach has had to be the one to face the questions about his lies. Will he issue a statement or just continue to place everyone else in an impossible position?
He's shirked responsibility up until this point, so why start now?

I guess I put that more on the training/medical staff than the coaches.
I think what really needs asked is whether or not the coaches/front office aided and abetted his lying. Surely the NFL will pursue this.
Either way - obviously they were scared of getting him mad.
