“Second tier conference” do Texas fans really think they make a difference with their performance in the conference? Texas football has been nothing but average to below average since Colt McCoy. Them leaving only hurts this conference financially, nothing else. The B12 will be the premier basketball conference and Cincinnati, BYU and UCF have all had better football programs than Texas (all but UCF have had better basketball too) the last 10 years. I personally am looking forward to seeing them be bottom feeders and never make it out of the dungeon in the SEC and their boards will all be saying “we should’ve never left the B12”, “we could be the premier program in the B12 right now”. They are delusional, almost as much as TOE fans.

To me, this relates to Nebraska's Big 12 exit in a couple of ways. Obviously for both TX and NE, it is/was the money--isn't it always? However, I also felt--yeah, I know this is gonna be a stretch--the unspoken reason for NE bolting was that they couldn't beat TX. Now TX can't beat what it feels are their 'lessers.' Feels like deja vu all over again.

If the Big 12 is a movie, Texas is the hot chick that sucks as an actor, but does nude scenes so people watch. OU is a star actor. We are replacing them with a solid group of actors to make for a good ensemble driven movie.

Texas in a nude scene is pretty much like Betty White topless.

Say we expand to a playoff of 12. Sure the SEC will get 3-4 teams in but they'll still have 6-7 programs pissed off every year they aren't making it. There are just too many mouths to feed.

Big 12 was smart to stay intact and grab the best available. They'll still have tie-ins and a seat at the table.

Also - over/under how long til we hear another program in the SEC complain about Texas after they've joined?

No one will ever convince me that blowing the lead to ISU last year wasn’t the final straw. Win that game and they keep Herman and play OU for the Big 12 title.

Pretty much every program can be turned around pretty quickly with a good coach. Texas’ culture is rotten to the core though. Whether they quit, or their players truly aren’t better than this, it means their culture is horrible. These dimwit fans UT writers keep talking about how they need to recruit better talent. What a joke. Their players clearly do not consistently win in the dark. They would not be this bad if they did.

I like reading their complaints about the officiating. With the games being called without UT favoritism, their entitlement is showing. Think it is bad this year wait until they have to face Bama.
This is what I said as soon as it was announced. They’re not going to get the calls they’re used to, especially when playing teams like Bama, Georgia, Florida, etc. They’re in for a rude awakening.
