Anybody actually know anything about these guys? Their run last year seemed like a fluke, they didn't have a very impressive regular season then caught fire at the right time.
I posted this in another thread.

Last year for the majority of the season they were a mediocre basketball team that did not play as a unit. They flipped a switch when postseason began and never looked back, had they not won their conf tournament they were on the outside looking in. They lost two of their main contributors from last year‘s team but have seven newcomers and transfers. They are still learning how to play together and their head coach has a history of struggling to get the team to play as consistent cohesive unit.

I don't know what to expect. Oregon State beat Portland State by 9 and we only beat Kennesaw State by 11. I did like our aggressiveness and the movement of the ball was so nice to see. We have to take care of the ball though and I know the refs sucked, but not foul as much as we did.

Gotta control the flow of the game tonight, come out on fire and confident. Gotta make more free throws.

ESPN+ questions. I have a league BB game tonight - I can't believe that there's no thread for that :) - and will get back late to see the start of the game.

Does anyone know if you can start the game from the beginning if the game is still going on?

Also, do they show full replays later on ESPN+?

Go, Clones!!

I'm fairly certain you can pause, rw, and ff on ESPN+. I know I can for MLS stuff and I think that's the case for most if not all ESPN+ specific content. Read: Not ESPN or 2. So, while you can't go right to the beginning, technically you can watch from the beginning by starting the stream and then rewinding to the start of the game. Sometimes, if I really want to try and watch without knowing the current state of the game, I'll even mute the tv and then press rewind without looking as soon as the video comes up. Otherwise, the replays are usually up within an hour if not sooner.

Is this month better than March Madness?

Football seasons start to tighten up and while it's not all that meaningful, there's college basketball on about every night.

Thanksgiving week might be the best week for sports fans.

CFB plays a lot of rivalry games and good matchups.

NFL on Thanksgiving.

CBB has holiday tournaments and most teams get some intriguing matchups (like ISU getting to play Xavier).

61% of the bets so far on oregon state but the line is moving towards Iowa State. It’s down to Iowa State +1.5

I have a free $20 bet...might put it on oregon state so its a win win.

LOL. Beavers.

Talk about changing your mascot name! Redskins, Indians, BEAVERS!!! So disparaging!

I'm kidding of course! I think. HaHa.

Thanks Rulzzz! Good test tonight to see a little more.
I still am going to wait until the non-conference season is done to give my win/loss prediction on this team. I know, unfair advantage. But so many unknowns.

My preliminary observations from the Kennesaw State game:

* The movement (of the ball and players) on offense was terrific most of the time. I felt like we had some speed and athleticism last year and could've played that kind of a motion offense with the personnel we had - with the 30-second shot clock, it's easier to run those types of sets than with 24.

* Kalscheur and Brockington are really good ballers and Hunter has the the potential to be a great one (although when has a guard from Wisocnsin, especially named Tyrese, ever worked out for us? :) ) If you told me Brockington was one of Matt Campbell's guys, I'd believe you.

* Conditt has improved some on offense and while he may not be the best on PnR defense, he seems like a much better rim protector than Jones. I'm going to be watching his fitness level.

* Enaruna and Kunc didn't show us anything yet on offense. Let's hope that changes as the rust comes off. I suspect Jones will be just a high-energy big without a ton of skill; that's OK - those are helpful traits.

* Caleb Grill is stronger and showed me that he can be an elite defender for his size. I hope that he can be a consistent 40% shooter from 3.

* Tre Jackson seemed like a good veteran presence. He's a great on-ball defender as well. Let's see a whole bunch of Tre Treys this year.

* Overall I liked our pressure D a lot more than the referees seemed to. We have lacked the ability to really take teams out of their rhythm offensively (see Baylor, national championship) and I think the staff has the right idea with this group of players. The risk is the short bench, it seems to me.

* I was hoping to see Jaden Walker and I wonder where he's coming up short in the coaches' eyes. A 6'5 guy that can create and guard multiple positions can be very useful but maybe he's not that guy.

Good luck tonight, Clones. Cyclone Nation is behind you. And there are plenty of coaches here on CF if you need some suggestions :)

Anybody have the scouting report on Oregon St? Rumor has it they have a couple of bigs that might make life miserable for Jones, Conditt et. all.

If we have turnover and rebounding issues.. We loose

If we shoot like we did against Kenn St and cut down on the turnovers. We win.

Keys to victory:

1) Win the turnover battle
2) Don't get bullied in the paint
3) Keep Hunter, Brockington and Kalscheur out of foul trouble
4) Be respectable on offense
