2017 TCU disagrees. They were 10-2 going into the championship game against 11-1 OU and got the Alamo Bowl. I have my doubts the Big 12 will get a second top 12 team. SEC or Big 10 team is getting it

You could be right. The CfP rankings are based on making the four top teams look as good as possible. The Big 12 isn’t going to have one of the top 4 teams most likely.

I guess the good news here is nobody really does care about 6 wins and a crappy bowl. We are disappointed in the results and complaining about certain bowl destinations. 5 years ago this board would be pumped at 6-6 and Memphis trip. So CMC is certainly still right, and we are not acting like a BS program.

OU or OSU winning out and getting in CFP is of course the guaranteed path.

Texas Bowl on January 4th would be tough to get to. I hate the Liberty Bowl, but December 28th is an easier date.

Clemson in the Cheez It would be cool even if Orlando kind of sucks.
